Love dissatisfaction with CAVs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
According to @InBoobieWeTrust Love requested the extension. This makes his behavior even more bizarre regardless of how incompetent you think the FO was with their vision for the team. Either greed got the better of him or he’s not that bright in believing that Koby would give him a hard contract to move and then take the first bad deal so he can leave town super rich. As matter of fact there were talks of him giving the team a discount even lol.

Good discussion but you mention “it’s the g league.” What’s the difference?Lines the same. Balls and hoops the same. Those guys are playing for there basketball lives!! They actually try to play defense and guard the 3! Unlike the guaranteed contract boys. And Cedi is shooting 38%. Not 40+ like Dean and Levi have been 4 years in a row.
You are acting like there is no drop off from NBA to G League which is ridiculous. Overall there are better defensive players, + more length in the NBA even if they may not try as hard. From my observations majority of players see a drop off in shooting % when going from G league to NBA. My guess, a pure guess, would be a 4-5% drop off is common.

The drop off is a very fine line. Very fine. Mostly a difference in $ and a break or two here and there.

why is the s lower case but the rest upper case?

Find it shocking a player who puts in such a piss poor effort day in and out while making 30mil a year has the nerve to complain about anything. He has not been been very good and been playing an extremely lazy brand of basketball. He knows it but his ego is getting the better of him. All this drama is just him trying to deflect how terrible he's been and blame it all on the organisation (which is also of course at fault along with coach who has been far from good in my opinion).

Love signed the contract, quit pouting or give us our money back

You mean like Kendrick Nunn or Devonte Graham? Did you know that 52% of NBA rosters played in the g league?
Devonte graham was a rookie last year not a soon to be 28 year old..
Players like Yante Maten, Frank Mason, Justin Anderson, Jalen Jones, Josh Magette, Blossomgame, Jaylen Adams, Dusty Hannahs all put up better or similar numbers to Levi Randolph and have flopped in the NBA

Love was somewhat of an odd fit even on a title team with James and Irving. If the NBA got their head out of their butt and fixed the sprawlball era so that the post actually mattered, Love would be an all-everything big guy, but as is, he's a luxury for a good team and a distraction on a bad one.

I don't know that a I see a viable trade partner for him though.

Yeah Maten was a total flop in his 6 minutes of playing time....smh Mason , Anderson, and Magette will still be good NBA players for somebody. If you don’t have all the hype that others have it just takes a little more time and the right opportunity to get what you’ve worked your butt off for.

Maten flopped in the preseason. I was going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you just randomly rated Randolph but this is ridiculous lol

Justin Anderson has played over 200 nba games and never produced anything near what he has in the g league

Devontae Graham is also hot garbage. Maybe once he gets his FG% to respectable levels I will believe he is legit. But right now he just seems like a Chucker on a bad team padding his stats. The 19-8 look nice but the efficiency on both the scoring and shoot just aren't there for me to believe he's anything more then a chucker hoisting up shots on a bad team. 38.1 percent from the field and 38.9 from three. When your 3 point percentage is some how higher then your normal FG percentage something has gone terribly wrong.

Kendrick Nunn is a 24 year old players who went undrafted in 2018 so I wouldn't point to him as anything other than an outlier compared to most of the journeymen. They actually try in the G-League but I don't think effort alone can close the skill gap.

Even with the great season he's having, he's shooting 43.8% in the NBA (36 games) versus the 47.3% he shot in the G-League (49 games). As the season has progressed his FG% has dipped:

October: small sample size
November: 44.8% [13 games]
December: 41.8% [15 games]
January: small sample size

Graham has also struggled like as mentioned above:

November: 40.9% [16 games]
December: 33.0% [15 games ---- 5.9/18.0 YIKES]

If their roles were reversed I'm sure Nunn would be sub 40% on a bad team with limited weapons compared to being on the #2 in the East.

Then why is the defense worse in the g-league?

It’s not. It’s certainly not worked on like some college defenses but it’s not worse than the NBA for the totality of the year.
