Mac vs PC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Don't get a refurb, educate yourself, and good luck!

PS - how's the book in your avatar?

The book is very good. Basically its about how the FDA and drug companies are suppressing natural cures for diseases. Natural things arent patentable, and therefore not profitable for the drug companies. I believe there's no ailment that nature doesnt have a cure for. Ive read some people have cured cancer without drugs and chemotherapy. Its just very interesting, and worthy of its own thread.

What's a refurb? I want a desktop comp. And right now Im leaning towards my friend building me a PC. For the video games and to same a few hundred dollars under the Mac I was looking at.

Refurbished...means something went wrong with it, somebody sent it in and they fixed it and are selling it back.

I torrent all day long and I make sure I run the proper ant-virus and spyware and my pc runs just fine. It's all about taking care of your stuff and taking the appropriate steps to do things right.

Macs are pretty..oooh ahhh.

Macs have a nice operating system so windows emulates off of that. It only pushes eachother harder and farther so you and I can get a better product and technology at the end of the day.

Fanboys can argue all day about which they love better. But without one you wouldn't have the other.

I have a Zune to hell with ipods and Itunes.
I have a 360, let's see apple take a crack at gaming.

I like both apple and ms for what they are, but I don't get all fired up about it. You can fight for your favorite company but they don't give two craps about you as long as you keep giving the your hard earned dollars. When I can afford both I will have one of each.

Alright, so I thought I would throw this in here...

My sister's birthday is approaching and I was thinking of getting her a Macbook since she told me about a week ago she wanted one.. She's always had desktop models and is looking for something she can use while in transit..

Basically, she does the typical stuff, and is really not a gamer.. So it's pretty much picture taking/downloading, music downloads/ movies/ intertnet browsing etc...

So I was just wondering what were some of the better Mac notebooks I should look into ?????

I have to have it ready by Friday morning so I can overnight it for Saturday..So any advice between now and then would be greatly appreciated..

MacBook Pro.

17 inch monitor (avaliable in 15, but why want a wimpy `15 inch monitor?)

The new G5's with intel should run you around 1500 bucks.

I have an older 14" powerbook that I love. I wanted to get the smaller size so that it was more portable.

YES! GET HER THAT MACBOOK.

Since she is a girl, get her the 15" so the extra weight does not bear her down.

The 13 inch MacBook is a little cute notebook that girlies might like.

And its like 900 bucks.
