I think looking at the Freak's stat line misses an important part of the whole story, which is the turnovers. Guarding the passing lanes and the passer can generate more turnovers than just guarding the intended recipient.
He obviously had five himself, but they had 19 as a team. Not doubling him and guarding the other guys more closely meant that sometimes, when they would try to force the ball to him, it resulted in a turnover. We had a lot of fast break points because they kept trying to funnel everything through him, and if it didn't work, we could get a bucket on the other end.
Forcing him to expend all that energy on the offensive end also meant he had less energy to contribute on the defense end.

Back to topic, Charge lost last second to Chicago, DikDik had 27 pts and 14 rebounds.. the actual Brobley had 24, 6 rebounds five assists and five blocks .. so both Brobleys doing well in G- League.. As limited as we see iMobley, he has a good all around game..

It feels thin in the frontcourt at the moment, especially with Wade out. One of them working out as a backup would be pretty cool.
I can't get it out of my head that Isaiah is a 3. He doesn't have the footspeed, but neither did Markannen. He is really comfy operating on the perimeter. I don't think he is a future starting 3, but I can see a big lineup with him at the 3 as an option in the future.
Diakite is so intriguing. I thought the lineup with he and Mobley against Embiid was inspired. I'd really like for him to have a roster spot to end the year.

Isaiah is not even close to a 3. The footspeed difference between Markannen and Isaiah are light years different. Isaiah is barely a 4 to be honest because of lack of footspeed, he has zero chance to play the 3.
I think Diakite can carve out a role in the NBA, but if he is in your rotation, you better have serious injury issues. But athletically he is there, so if he continues to develop he might be in the back of a rotation.
He's got some ability, but he's already 26 and needs a lot of work and more minutes than the Cavs can give.
Hopefully, he can catch on with some tanking team next season and gets the minutes he needs.
