Matthew Dellavedova

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Matthew Dellavedova (training camp invite)

he has a pretty solid body

36.4 minutes per game (4years)

from what i remember (I've been watching his games since he was a freshman) he rarely missed a game, maybe for a sore muscle/sick at best.

not injury prone at all.

Delly also holds the NCAA record for most cumulative minutes played in College Basketball.

Re: Matthew Dellavedova (training camp invite)

He is a no brainer for the the 3rd spot for mine, just watched the game, he has areas he needs to work on, no doubt, but no more than most teams 11-15 guys do. What he does seem to be though is an old head in a young body. I really think we might have something here.

Re: Matthew Dellavedova (training camp invite)

It's hard for me to see him every becoming more than a #3 PG but he does have what you want in a player for that spot. Smart, can run a team, knows what to do and what coach wants and seems to know his limitations.
I wouldn't want to rely on Delly for a long period but you can get by with him and not suffer for a short period.

I'm slanted as an alum of SMC, but there is no doubt in my mind that Delly is the best buy in the undrafted NBA!! Coach Brown knows value when he sees it!! Given a chance I bet Delly will become one of the best true PG's in the NBA....hope I don't have to eat my words!!!

Seems the Aussies have invaded us.

I'm not an Aussie, but I love Fosters beer and the output of current NBA SMC PG's....Patty Mills (Spurs), Mickey McConnall (Mavs) and, of course, Delly.

Re: Matthew Dellavedova (training camp invite)

Probably have to sign him. With Irving likely to miss 20 games I don't want another round of watching waiters go 1 on 5. The addition of jack helps but still leaves the door open for minutes at point guard.

Re: Matthew Dellavedova (training camp invite)

I think he'll make the team and then get to spend a lot of time honing his talent in Canton when Kyrie is not injured. A D-league team with a pure point guard would have a big advantage, since 99% of the d-league players are worthless or shamless chuckers.

If Delly's in Canton, who do we have at PG at the end of a blowout? Neither Irving nor Jack (especially with this knee condition) should play meaningless minutes, Dion's apparently not allowed to play PG, and we have no one else on the roster who's remotely capable of running an offense.

I wonder how a TT, AV, AB, Zeller, Bynum/other bigman lineup would work when we are up by 30...
