A welcome site in Lake County today as Chase DeLauter hits his first homer as a Captain with a 2-run dinger in the fourth.

A-ball has been rough this year and seeing Chase kick some ass in the second half would be very warmly received.

Micah Pries had a good April and has struggle since, but has had a good last weekish. So hopefully he is out of his funk... Batting over .350 in that time frame and got a nice HR today...

Also Columbus made some moves that weren't posted...

Clippers released C Seth Caddell, RP Caleb Simpson

Riley Smith decided to retire...

C Eric Rodriguez was assigned to the Development List.

C Sandy Leon was signed and assigned to Columbus. C Bryan Lavastida was promoted to Columbus.

So the catching duo in Columbus in the second half will be the veteran Leon mentoring Lavastida in a sense.

@33Y0

Was there any twitter posts of Pries' HR? I don't have a Twitter and I don't feel like setting one up. It's not letting me look today at them for some reason.

Hunter Gaddis continues to struggle in Columbus,

Nothing yet, I’ll keep my eyes out.

Sorry if already posted and I missed it, but Peyton Battenfield will be making a rehab start for Akron tonight.

Oscar has to be the next callup...
....while not the Guardians usual M.O.... that is, calling up a RHH bat as hot as Spongebob's can only help the club considering Naylor is out today.. and who knows going forward..

Wrist injuries are like sprained ankles.. they never seem to be fully healed until two months into the off season.. With the way Josh was holding his wrist (ulna side, possibly E.C.U. sheath), he could be in for a long chronic/pain maintenance approach to keeping him on the field. Surgery is usually not indicated for this type of malady...

It would appear that Naylor is going to be given a day or so to see if the wrist calms down enough for him to finish out the week heading into the all star break. His bat will be missed. Not what the Guardians need if they want to make a push to finish out the first half...
