We're eliminating guys that are already up, like Gavin Williams, Tanner Bibee, Logan Allen, Tyler Freeman, Gabriel Arias, Bo Naylor, David Fry, etc??

  1. Brayan Rocchio -- Closest thing to "can't miss" as we have as a position player. Very good defensive shortstop. Has that "it" gene as a leader on the field. Offense is coming along nicely.
  2. George Valera -- Next best position prospect. Can be a plus-power bat in the OF. Needs to stay healthy.
  3. Daniel Espino -- Most gifted pitching prospect in our organization. Needs to stay healthy
  4. Angel Martinez -- I think he can be a MIF who hits .280 with 20 HR. That's rare.
  5. Juan Brito -- With the way he's hit this year, it's hard to keep him off this list.
Special Mention: Jaison Chourio. He's only a teenager, but when people say "I didn't see this coming from him" well, a lot of us saw it coming. Athlete, plus-defense, and his offense will come around as he matures.

1. Espino - injuries and missed time have "zapped" him. However if he is able to comeback healthy, the sky is the limit for this guy.
2. Brito - I believe he may be our overall best hitter in the minors at this point. Is that because he is awesome or our system a little light on hitters with all the promotions/trades? You decide
3. Noel - struggling but the right side power is real. As a 21 year old (22 in 10 days) in AAA, you can be patient here and see how he looks a year from now. If he finds it, the power is top tier.
4. Rocchio - not as high on him as others. As long as Andres Gimenez is around, he lands at 2nd base long term IMO. He actually reminds me of Amed Rosario FWIW.
5. Doug Nikhazy. A lefty with good strikeout numbers. If he can master his command, he could be quite good.

My top 5 guys I believe will be solid to good ML players?

1. Rocchio
His BB/K development going up the minors ladder is incredible. He's developing the right way. I comped him to Gimenez before, but he can be even better

2. Brito
Just consistently good. I've watched several of his ABs and he's not passive, he swings, but still has a healthy BB rate because of his eye and contact ability.

3. A. Martinez
He's too good a hitter to not bounce back. He's lost his approach and is too over aggressive, probably pressing. Also still just a 21yo in AA

4. Noel
The power is real. Needs to improve pitch selection. If he does, he'll be a monster.

5. Chourio
More walks than K at very young age for level. Currently sports a cool 500 OBP as 18yo in AZL after 446 OBP in DSL

Nope, he really wasn't even a top 50 in a sense, but hey neither were Kwan or Brennan until they got to the bigs...

Though, I feel like, he will be great in his current role...
