Tugboat's day is done. Not as dominant as his last (duh) but still quite good.
76 pitches 48 strikes and a wild pitch. Both hits were singles, one was an infield hit.
5IP 2H 0R/0ER 3BB 5K.

I don't see him being moved up just yet...
Once the rookie league gets in full swing though, I wouldn't be surprised to see his promotion since Columbus needs help badly...

One aspect being overlooked: how small the Carolina league is.
Being so small, players have to improve on adjustments (especially game to game). Players run into the same opponents more
often & what worked the last time (last 2 appearances) against the group might not be as successful this next time around. That is a good lesson to be learned early on.

Looks like Zinn and Bresnahan were from our 23 draft... 12th and 13th rounds... Javior Santos was in our 22 draft... Everyone else pitching wise are international signings. We don't really invest a lot in international pitchers, so those three names are the ones I am gonna keep an eye on for sure.
Cedeno and Izturis are two fairly high signings in the international signings for catching... While Clark was the high school catcher we picked in the 22 draft...
Francisca is the top prospect on that roster... A strong season will put him in the top 100 prospect listing probably...

Is their any other prospect to keep an eye on at the ACL?
Luis is the most obvious high signee with Francisca that could break out (rough last year).
There are others that broke out last year in DSL to look at, such as, Pirela and Merejo. Mercedes was pretty good but repeating. At this level, you just never know.

Looking at the ACL roster, pitching is a complete mystery to me. Zibin is the clear pedigree pick, outside of that? The Cuban guys. We spent a decent chunk of change on those two guys, and they're "older" so if things go the way they're supposed to... They'll put up some numbers.
IF: Francisca is the big prospect, likely the most hype prospect on the entire roster. You could've even seen him break camp with Lynchburg if there weren't a couple other guys trying to take their claim.
C: Izturis is the main course here. It would be nice to see the organization homegrow another legit C prospect, it has been awhile.
OF: Pirela is a 6'3" power hitter. He could go off. As of now he is my favorite breakout candidate at the plate in the ACL.
