Nobody is angry at or rooting against Oscar Gonzalez.
This is going to anger quite a few people in this thread.
You have completely misread the room.

This^Reno was known for having multiple accounts and carrying on conversations with himself
I don't know anything about this guy but...

The room spends a disproportionate amount of time, energy, and posts propping up guys like Jordan Luplow and minimizing every accomplishment of guys like Bradley and Gonzalez. Those are facts. You want us to interpret those facts as suggesting the room isn't rooting against Bradley and Gonzalez, at worst, or is ambivalent towards them, at best? That seems a stretch bub.Nobody is angry at or rooting against Oscar Gonzalez.

It wouldn't surprise if they were operating a little differently this year, but typically, the team likes to make their call ups for position players and pitchers during the All-Star break in mid-July.I don't know anything about this guy but...
During [12-game hitting] streak: 20-47 5R 6(2B) 3HR 11RBI 5BB .426 AVG .481 OBP
The clip shows him hitting singles to center and right, so he's not strictly a pull hitter. That extra base hit percentage of 45% means he's not just slapping singles, either. And 5 walks in 12 games doesn't exactly disqualify him as a prospect.
I want to see more, preferably at Columbus. They moved Francisco Perez up, maybe it's time for Gonzo to see some better pitching.
You're literally making up things to be angry about. The things you're claiming are happening, aren't.The room spends a disproportionate amount of time, energy, and posts propping up guys like Jordan Luplow and minimizing every accomplishment of guys like Bradley and Gonzalez. Let's keep things on topic. Do you see Gonzalez's dramatically improved walk numbers this year as a sign that his prospect status within the organization should be re-evaluated?
I can tell that you are ecstatic about Gonzalez's development and anxious to consider his improved status in the org! You're literally making up things to be angry about. The things you're claiming are happening, aren't.
Have a blessed day.
Like everyone else, I am looking forward to most likely seeing him in Columbus in the second half and possibly breaking through for an opportunity with the big club next season.I can tell that you are ecstatic about Gonzalez's development and anxious to consider his improved status in the org!

Micky Callaway too apparently. All it takes is one hole...and MLB pitchers will find it and abuse it.
I'll go a step further--I don't even have Oscar written off or anything. There is one thing he has to work on--handling breaking pitches. If he does that, he could be special.NO ONE IS AGAINST Oscar Gonzalez at all.... Or Bradley, or anyone else currently in the minors or on the roster. (We were against Bauers, but we had a legit gripe why)... Trust me, we want someone to step up and take RF away from everyone and be an All-Star, we just aren't putting any faith/money on that being Oscar Gonzalez... That's the part you aren't getting. We aren't against the kid, but saying we don't expect much from him pros wise and we are gladly willing to be wrong if he can prove us wrong...
Micky Callaway too apparently.
You aren't going to change their minds, Dicky, and it doesn't really matter because no one here makes the decision on whether these guys progress or not. Just keep rooting for Oscar and don't feel silenced by those here who resort to labels and passive aggressive attacks for expressing your opinion. Oscar will show if he has it or not, and it will be up to the org to give him his shot or let some other team do it.The room spends a disproportionate amount of time, energy, and posts propping up guys like Jordan Luplow and minimizing every accomplishment of guys like Bradley and Gonzalez.
