Literally every time this shit happens it’s because someone posts that “top prospect A gets all this love, while Oscar Gonzalez gets none but keeps BOMBING hits bro”.

If you want to talk positively about Oscar Gonzalez, be my guest, I’ll join right in with you. Don’t try to use someone struggling for a few weeks in the same system that you all should be rooting for to prop him up as a prospect though. That’s what leads us to this point.

If you think highly of a guy and that they have a chance to be good, you shouldn’t need the short-comings of another player to help get your point across. Posting quality has always been an issue in this section, and those are low quality, low effort posts.

Like everyone else, I am looking forward to most likely seeing him in Columbus in the second half and possibly breaking through for an opportunity with the big club next season.
I think it unlikely Oscar progress to the majors in CLE, especially next season.
He has already been exposed & passed over twice in the R5 draft (2019 & 2020) & qualifies to be a minor league free agent after this season.

Perhaps he feels a good chance to make the big club as resigns here. Time will tell.

I've invited you to put me on Ignore.
Cool. That's also irrelevant. I can invite you out on a date with me--it doesn't change the content of the posts I make.

The personal attacks ("troll", claims that I'm Reno, claims that anyone who disagrees with you is an idiot) will stop.
It's cute that this comes now, when you personally attacked @Derek on the last page, and basically attacked everyone you share this board with while making up shit that has never happened.

"Troll" is an accurate description of your behavior, especially on the last page. You are lying about reality and trying to incite arguments that we just don't need. You're looking for a reaction out of people. The shoe fits.

I also haven't ever claimed you're Reno, but I wouldn't expect you to care about being honest or truthful in your words.

The room spends a disproportionate amount of time, energy, and posts propping up guys like Jordan Luplow and minimizing every accomplishment of guys like Bradley and Gonzalez. Those are facts. You want us to interpret those facts as suggesting the room isn't rooting against Bradley and Gonzalez, at worst, or is ambivalent towards them, at best? That seems a stretch bub.

Let's keep things on topic. Do you see Gonzalez's dramatically improved walk numbers this year as a sign that his prospect status within the organization should be re-evaluated?
You've been here since May 15th, Luplow hasn't played since May 26th. Not only aren't posters here 'propping up' guys like Luplow, they haven't really even been talking about him. In fact, some of us have been saying this is his final year to put it together or we have to move on.

So how would you have this vast amount of knowledge about how people post about Luplow? That's right, you can't help but give out the fact you have been stalking this forum for well over a year.

W/R to his prospect status.. probably not much, if any, change.. too small of a sample size.. It's encouraging thathe's taking a few walks.. Two walks in the same game says the pitchers he faced were ALL over the place.. or OG has decided to work at becoming patient..

FWiW.. I'm hoping on the latter.. in spite of "most of the" evidence to the contrary..

Career OPS+...a stat that measures a players batting production against his peers...

Zimmer 70.
Bauers 83
Harold 96
Luplow 105

2021 OPS+...

Zimmer 62
Bauers 75
Harold 113
Luplow 108

There is no question that Zimmer brings plus defense and baserunning to the table, but it doesn't make up for the fact that he is the worst of the four at the plate.

BTW...any statement that Luplow has been protected against same handed pitching while Zimmer has not is blatantly false.

Zimmer has faced LHers only 28% of the time in his MLB career. Luplow has faced RHers exactly 50% of the time.

If you think Luplow is bad vs same handed pitching (.635 OPS), what do you say about Zimmer's .595?

In fact, Luplows .635 vs RHers isn't that far off of Zimmers .655, in spite of Zimmer having the advantage.

You can slice and dice...you can use a Veg O Matic...all you want, but you can't turn Zimmers offensive numbers into any kind of MLB level success.

If you think anything I said is incorrect, I'd love to hear that. You know, constructive conversation.

Whatever you think a "hit piece" is, your post is likely the distilled essence of a "hit comment."

(Is this where I end posts by telling other people what to do like "stop it"? That's fun... oh wait, no. It fucking sucks.)

It should suck.. that's why you should stop it..

& the distillation process takes more than a notion..

You don’t give orders to anyone here.

He’s right.
