MLB 2022 regular season thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Take that stupid shit over to the political forum. We’re not all liberals, but I’m pretty sure we’re Guardians fans so quit being a douche bag.

Just ignore him please and @DCTribefan this isn't the place, we don't mind if you post something, just no need to talk about it if it becomes political ya know?

Ok, I won’t make comments that could be interpreted as “political.” I do recommend folks read the KC star.com article I linked. CDAV45–Sorry if I seemed to belittle your comment; not my intention but just an overly quick reaction to an obvious disagreement we have on the subject.

Water under the bridge so no apology needed, but thanks anyway. We all have our vices and that is clearly one of mine so I apologize for the harsh response.

@Gson

I remember a TJ surgery discussion some time ago. The reason I bring this up, is Sean Doolittle is undergoing one of the newer options available.. Half or less recovery time.

Criz... first, thanks for posting this article..

I know from doctor friends and literature that this procedure has become one that has significant interest, application, along with very limited risk. The ability to repair an existing ligament without a donor (both internal patient and external donor, followed by the slow building of the strength needed for the repeat trauma of throwing on the elbow) using this method is showing the recovery is and can be nearly half the usual amount of time of traditional Tommy John surgery. Because the in situ ligament is retained, rejection of foreign bodies are not an issue as the collagen surface of the reinforcing appliance (appliance = tape) eliminates/reduces this problem. By using molded anchors on the humerus and ulna, the twisting/elongation of the healed and healing ligament is protected by the appliance while allowing the Ulnar Collateral Ligament to heal and the arm to throw with limited discomfort.. The prognoses are no worse & possibly better than the current methods..

This protocol can be used for ACL/PCL/MCL tears of the knee (with some limitations) and shoulder issues where the capsule is damaged to the point where the risk of range of motion loss is great.. (also with some limitations). This methodology can be HUGE w/r to therapeutic convalescence as well...

HUGE.. DAMN HUGE..

He has a real shot at being the next 600 HR chaser, already with 19 this season, you expect him to at least get another 18 and finish with 35 and for his career he'd be at 135 through 5 seasons. Only 23 years old, this contract would be paying him 29 million roughly until he's 38 and closing in on whatever 600 number he's around.

Former teammate Rendon is getting 38 million per year

Any of us would have taken it, but it is less AAV than some other guys...
He is in the perfect place to demand more. Won't be 24 until just after the post season. Nationals are also in the perfect place to ride him out and let some other team have a burden of a contract 12-ish years from now. And that is if injuries don't derail him.

Oh I know, he is gonna get 35ish AAV at the end of the day. He is betting on himself...

Then again, I am the type with money, I go for the sure bet rather than the gamble...
