NBA News & Notes

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
OT here but I saw Adam Silver say he doesn’t like the fact that KD requested a trade……and that brought a question to mind. I know Goodell is hired and answers to the NFL owners….is that the same with Silver and the NBA owners?

He forced the human garbage that was Donald Sterling out of the league. NBA commish has more power or at least way more balls than Goodell. Both Stern and Silver

Both of them did! Is Silver hired by the owners or is the Commish position (person) a CBA type thing?

I’m telling you, Nets aren’t making this trade…it doesn’t actually make sense to make it, unless I guess someone offers them a dozen first round picks or something. This will be a line drawing moment

Serves the Suns right for not locking him up…now they lose him with no comp

I would guess they match it if they can’t work out a S&T with Pacers. If they don’t match and get nothing in return they might have a bit of a fire sale as they aren’t going to be able to compete.

NBA no longer allows a sign and trade once the qualifying offer is signed. So it’s match or nothing for the Suns

Technically the offer sheet doesn't tender til midnight I believe. There is a little bit of time for a last minute SnT to be negotiated

They can trade him up until Jan 15th but he can veto any trade and they cannot trade him to the Pacers for a year!
