New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm super late on this but I highly recommend The Americans for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. The last few episodes of the final season were exceptional.
Thats on my list after finishing Schitts Creek.

Liking Cobra Kai so far. A few episodes in to Season One.

An interesting mediation how life works out for people after the halcyon days of youth.

Recently found out about a friend from when I was kid who is now in prison for dealing meth and beating his girlfriend. He was a sweet kid.

Life is tough.

You should give Justified a watch next if you haven't seen it already. Another amazing performance from Walton Goggins (Shane) in that one.
I am a sucker for the hillbilly themes (speaks to my childhood, just a bit), but Justified was incredibly enjoyable/quite good. Probably due for a re-watch...
We dug coal together -- yeah.

How many shows do you watch at once? I usually juggle 3 or 4 at once for diversity/break up the binge....some I watch with one family member but not necessarily the others.
That said I will probably pour through the latest season of the Expanse this weekend.

Just finished season five of The Expanse. Good shit, although I think this season kind of exposed the weak links in the ensemble cast, as Holden and Alex were left to do largely nothing all season while Naomi did all the heavy lifting in the acting department and Amos provided the bulk of the entertainment.

Dominique Tipper should get an Emmy nomination for her work in the last few episodes this season. Goddamn was that a masterful performance that completely sold her desperation. She was great all season but just an absolute home run hitter the final three episodes.

Also loved the final scene, which was a nice nod to the books.

No idea how they're going to wrap this all up in one season, though, especially with the seeds they planted to close out five.

I also thought they really glossed over the damage to Earth. I assume they plan to get much more in depth on that next season but it was far too downplayed.

I would binge the hell out of spinoff that just followed Amos around outer space doing random shit but while being Amos. One of my favorite characters in any show I've seen in the past decade or so. Right up there with Boyd Crowder for me.

Don't remember exactly which poster (might have been @Derek) recommended "Dave" on Hulu, but I totally co-sign on that one. Wife and I loved it and were laughing our asses off a bunch.

I randomly started watching Dave without knowing he was actually a rapper and it was loosely based on his life. Show made me go down a Lil Dicky rabbit hole that I'm glad I got to experience.

Aside from Ted Lasso, are any of the other Apple + original shows worth watching?

Dickinson, Mythic Quest, Tehran, and Long Way Up are all good tv shows. For all Mankind is probably a step below those but is still entertaining. Earth at night in color is very interesting if you like planet earth and those type of shows.

Ok, so just finished season 2 of In The Dark from The CW. Really fun and underrated show I'd recommend to anyone. The storyline moves VERY quick, making it pretty exciting, even if some of what happens is a little far-fetched at times.

Edit: This is on Netflix as well

Just finished the new The Stand.

It was mostly garbage. The original series was also mostly garbage. I can't believe they can't get this thing right. It's my favorite Stephen King book, so it's really disappointing.

The choices they made with the plot timeline were weird. They didn't expose the different characters at all, which was what made the story so good in the first place. I don't get it.

Also my favorite King book. I can't get myself to watch the cinematic iterations of it.

About the only good thing about the old miniseries is the guy who plays Flagg. The rest is pretty much straight trash. I'm not even bothering with the new version. You just can't adapt this show on network television. It cries for an HBO adaptation.

There are no shows on Netflix. It focking sucks! All the shows are for little girly girls for crying out loud.

I've been re-watching You're the Worst. I don't think I ever actually saw the last season of this show, so it's a good opportunity to finally get caught up and finish it off.

I'd say this one is a lot like a more realistic Always Sunny. Horrible people being horrible in funny ways, mostly.

Lindsay is the best character, and has firmly established herself as one of my favorite sitcom characters.

Rewatching Black Sails(Stars/Hulu) and am just as surprised as I was the first time I watched it that it is actually really good, especially the 2nd and 3rd seasons. Some really memorable characters. A cast that is talented but mostly not known for any other big roles so it makes it easier to see them just as their characters and not connect them to other shows/movies.

Any one else ever give this show a try?
