New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I Think You Should Leave is back. Season 1 was great. Season 2 is definitely a lot weirder/out there, but it is still pretty funny.

Is it weirder? Season 1 is pretty bonkers already. There were some solid sketches and great performances in Season 2, but I thought the writing & variety was lacking compared to 1 (which set an incredibly high bar IMO).

I'm late to the party, but I finished Lovecraft Country the other day. Was very saddened to hear that they will not be doing a season 2. Great performances and just the right amount of wonky story telling. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Would still recommend even though they aren't planning a second season (as of now).

I was definitely disappointed, but I thought it was still good. It was for sure a lot more weird in my opinion with some of those skits going on for a while.

I'm weighing up beginning either "Vikings" or "The Last Kingdom." Which do I begin and why?

Also, "The White Lotus" on Netflix features one of the best television soundtracks/scores I've ever heard. The music seriously elevates that series to another level.

The Last Kingdom is a much better show.

That's on HBO. And yeah, the music is fantastic.

Yeah, I don't know why I said Netflix. Definitely HBO. I was actually watching Netflix at the time so I think I may have just written that in error!

I have one episode left in Season 2 of Big Little Lies on HBO. It can be a little soap-y, but the storylines definitely pull you in. Very good cast too.

Last Kingdom is amazing. Terrific.

Vikings starts off good. Until Ragnar leaves the show.

First 3-4 seasons are good.

But LK is superior all the way through.

Obviously not new, but I just started watching Stargate SG-1. I was pretty shocked to see what a good job they did with the military aspects of the show. Must have had a hell of a technical advisor.

As the resident Gate expert, they had USAF technical advisors and theoretical physicists on the writing team. Stargate is probably my #1 sci fi universe. Hoping to god that Amazon will pick up Brad Wright's latest show that will be a canon continuation rather than a reboot.
