New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m obscenely late to this but Patriot and Perpetual Grace LTD are two of my favorite series ever — Steven Conrad is truly brilliant and talented beyond words.

Patriot is one of my favorite shows of all time.

The writing is pure genius.

That hurts
I enjoyed Homeland--but I watched it live. I feel like it would be more disappointing to binge.

It was often a slog and often frustrating, but still hit some really strong high notes.

I think the last season was bad? But not sure for certain. I just remember a person in a poison gas tank and I was like ok, even I can't defend this show any longer.

Carrie is up there for protagonist you hate the most.

In my most Bill Simmons nasally voice:

Are we sure Yellowjackets is good?

I think this was the end of the 3rd to last season

The last season
was them working with Haqqani, the terrorist who stormed the US embassy in Kabul in Season 4 (which was the best season post-Brody), who decided he wanted out of the terrorist game but his son was still all in. Kind of a bizarre decision

And the prior season was with that Alex Jones inspired character

Season 1 was good.

They've made some pretty brutal decisions with Season 2, though.
Haven’t watched ep5 yet, but the second half of the season needs to be REALLY good to salvage things. Haven’t hated eps 1-4, but found myself feeling the even worse feeling of indifference/bleh/boredom, beyond a few scenes/performances

100% my feelings.

Season 1 was enjoyable, but i find myself laboring through season 2. Like, i am just waiting for the episode to end.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Beef with the wife last night. They were awesome. I'm excited to see where this goes.

Thought Beef was high quality dramatic/comedy writing…minus the last 2 episodes.

Second to last seemed a little “over the top”. The entire season seemed plausible, but the second to last episode escalated to “ridiculous” territory [for me].

Last episode was…meh.

Agreed.

Que Sera Sera, whatever will be, will be!!

'From' has picked up great from where it left off. Good watch if you haven't started it. Sometimes I really get 'Lost' vibes since one of the main actors is in both shows, and the town is indeed lost and there's still no answers for the people/creatures of the night.

You should watch Diplomat

For those who like Homeland and West Wing (same creator).

And Keri Russell from the Americans is in it as well and Rufus Sewell.

Very smart, has good humor, pretty well made.

Barry has been incredible this season. Last nights episode may have been best of the series
