New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
"Away" on Netflix is quite evocative, albeit sad in many moments. Characters push past stereotypes to become quite compelling. I was not expecting the "space scenes" to be so well done but they are. Good show!

I can’t say enough about Lovecraft Country on HBO. Best surprise of the year for me and with only three episodes left to go, perfect time to watch it and get caught up. It both is a serial story that advances and connects each week but also manages to be like a mini movie each episode. Eps 5-7 have just been tremendous

I just watched episodes 1 and 2...I am engaged!

Shows I really enjoy on Apple TV:

1) Ted Lasso (probably the most wholesome show on TV)
2) Central Park (enjoyable songs and characters)
3) Mythic Quest (pretty funny, good characters)
4) Tehran (only seen 3 episodes, seems like a mix of Homeland and Fauda)

Is Tehran all subtitled? Is any if it in english?

Mostly English actually. It's not like Fauda's dub (or subtitles only). There are quite a bit of things that are said in Hebrew or arabic that is dubbed, but the main characters all speak in English.

The Boys (Six Episode) Season 2 seemed to add some needed flesh to what was an interesting, though gangly skeleton of Season 1. You know, a little character development...I'd watch more.

It's not over yet. Two more episodes to go.

Ha, thanks -- seemed short, but forgot episodes are not all out at once. The end of episode 6 struck me as a point they could have stopped (Stormfront "reveal")...glad there is more to this run.

For Battlestar Galactica, does it start with the two part mini series before going into season 1?

I am having trouble getting good download links. The one I found started after all of the Cylon revolts happened. It started with an Asian-esque girl getting put in cuffs and then starting to pretend to be another character. I stopped right there so I could make sure I'm at the right spot.

What happens at the very start of the very first episode?

Yes watch the two part mini-series first that's effectively the pilot for the show.

If I recall correctly the show picks up right after the events of the miniseries.

I know there are AP Bio fans in here and I'm not sure everyone knows that they brought it back on Peacock. They have already released the 3rd season. If you sign up for peacock on an android device you should get 3 month free of peacock premium, at least that was valid a couple weeks ago.

The problem with peacock is the limited devices it supports. No firestick or Roku. The android tv app doesn't seem to work properly on my device. No Samsung tv support. It does work on a PS4. Chromecast didn't seem to work properly initially, it had audio sink issues. Make sure the free version works properly on whatever device you have before starting the free trial of premium or paying for it.
Peacock is on Roku now

Never watched it. Worth it?

It’s my favorite tv show of all time and easily the best space related one in my opinion. It’s actually on most lists as one of the greatest tv shows ever made. Out of shows I’ve personally watched, I’d only put the mount rushmore shows like Breaking Bad, The Wire, and Sopranos above it. That’s how good it is.
