You would imagine though that this would fall under the code of conduct rule of the NFL. The same rule Watson was punished for. I see a very easy argument that this is in violation of the code of conduct that all players are supposed to conduct themselves by.

It's irrelevant that it happened at practice. Using a helmet as a weapon should be an automatic suspension for the NFL regardless of where it happens, as it sets a terrible example

Anyone else find if weird that the NFL has no "control" over players while doing their job, but can suspend a guy while NOT playing the sport or on team property?

Going off what i read today, a player could have a drunken orgy with goats and little people after a bar room brawl during practice and they cant punish him, but a dude could wager $1500 while on the injured list on a game he has no control over, and be suspended for a season. That seems mighty weird to me.

Its a practice, not code of conduct, under the teams conduct rules, completely different. If Myles had did the same thing at a practice against another team, he wouldnt have even got a fine.

Tons of coaches and players both have been suspended for things they did while in college.
