NFL Week 1 (9/7/14): Browns @ Steelers [1:00 PM EST, CBS]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Considering everyone thought they'd get blown out and thought the offense was hopeless, there are positives... Not sure how any sane person can deny that.

I'll agree. With that said... this was also maybe the most Cleveland thing to happen since Cleveland came into existence. At this point, we're living, breathing sequel's to the movie Hostel.

Best news: We seem to have a coaching staff who can make adjustments at the half. And apparently a running game

Worst news: We still can't execute when it matters most.

For as much as I'll rip on them when they're bad, I have to give them credit. Spotting them a 27-3 is the issue more than anything.

It's not that I am denying it...It's just that I don't care to hear about how this is a moral victory and how we don't have a right to be upset.

Does this motivate or deflate? They showed a lot of good things in the second half. I'm not saying it's a moral victory but there is some ability there.

Here come the people that try to take positives out of this.

How can you NOT take positives out of the second half? I now you're just going to Huber. around and be negative, but the team that showed up in the second half, especially the running game was fun.

Doesn't mean I can't still be furious with that nonsense in the first half.

We scored 27 points!!!!
Our running game is stout
Our pass rush looks like a threat
Receivers stepped up as well as TE
Hoyer looks good in a fast paced offense

Secondary was inconsistent
Special teams needs improvement
Tacking was poor. Gotta wrap up

So many little mistakes

Cameron falling down instead of scoring.

Stupid motion penalty costs us 1st and goal.

Hoyer turns wrong way on a run, costs us another 1st and goal.

Kirksey falls on the goaline, giving the Steelers a touchback.

Banjamin returning kicks

Bad clock management.

Good news: If we go up tempo, we'll be able to move the ball

Right now, I am deflated. Hopefully, Pettine finds the motivate button

It's not a moral victory to me. The play-calling on that last drive was one of the worst I've seen in recent years. It's like we didn't take into account the defensive scheme of Pitt throughout the game.

It felt amateurish.

So you're just going to Frank around and be negative?

We deserve to have Josh Gordon's suspension overturned after that crushing blow

If the offense stick to an up tempo offense i see no reason why we cannot compete. Everytime Hoyer hands on to the ball for more than 5 seconds only bad things happen. Also him throwing into double coverage has not worked at all.

The running game is really awesome and if you can't at least take that, then you're just being a fucking bummer/loser.

Ton to work on and still not great. Hoyer got lucky with some dropped INTs. With that said, defense stepped up and was in a shitty hole at the end of that half.

I could be a lot more pissed. Valiant effort...

...doesn't mean shit if they roll over and suck the rest of the season, though.

If I had to single out a player, Justin Gilbert was far and away the biggest disappointment for me today.
