I'm excited to see a lot of dime this season with that upper-echelon defensive backfield. I'm going to guess that no matter how healthy the Browns front office claims Delpit and Greedy are for the season, they will still have a snap count limit if everyone else is healthy. Wear and tear is hard enough on a first year pro, but coming back from serious injury puts them in even greater risk.
There are some drawbacks to the dime, especially against a strong run blocking team. The Browns are going to value a player with very good change of direction and quickness that gives the defender the skills needed to cover a quick slot receiver. He's also going to need the speed to carry a receiver downfield. That's where Greedy can get extra reps if Newsome and Ward are both 100%. Delpit and Greedy both had some missed tackles at LSU - so limited snaps when everyone is healthy is definitely a luxury.
Both nickel and dime backs need to have the ability to blitz and sometimes the dime back is going to be more of a hybrid safety/linebacker type. That's where I could see JOK getting reps as second linebacker but playing much more like a dime.
