Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Mike Miller definitely smokes weed...american white guys don't have hair that long if they don't.....and i say sign him up.

Lebron likes video games, takes mid-day naps, claims to not drink, his favorite football team is the Cowboys (Nate Newton!!!), his favorite food is supposedly Trix cereal, his favorite movie is documented as being "Friday" and he built a giant mansion in the middle of a modest sub division....it should go w/o saying he smokes weed....

Personally, I dont drink any more......

......ofcourse I dont drink any less either. :chuckles:

Rocky Mountain News -
A source said Marcus Camby is the big salaried player on Denver that the club would be most likely to trade this offseason.

"It's not as easy as it used to be to make a deal," Nuggets executive Rex Chapman said of the Nuggets' situation.

Any interest here? I have no idea if it is even possible, or who/why the Nuggets would deal with the Cavs, but I figured I'd throw it out there.

Oh man I love Camby.. This dude is a beast his mid range>>> Z's mid range. Camby is even a great passer.. he throws lobs to Kenyon and Melo all the time. Plus he's a defensive player of the year. The Nuggets just seem to not use him much.. I could see him averaging like 20-14 here.

1 - ???
2 - Barbosa/Redd/Mike Miller
3 - LBJ
4 - ???
5 - Camby

We really need to buckle down this summer and make deals to have a talented team.

so we all agree miller, redd, jefferson, howard...in that order, some wanting red more than miller.....but after brand, what pf does everyone want

I personally want brand, Nowitski(although i dont think he is avaialble), okafor, (i keep pimping him but no one is buying, love his defense) and cant think of any others that might be avaialble....lets get a pf wish list too.

Actually I'd list the swingmen like this:

1). RJ
2). Redd
3). Miller
4). Howard

------------

I don't see how Okafor will be available when he wants a huge new contract, same with Brand... Plus we wouldn't really be in the running since a big piece of our trade assets is expirings and trading expirings in a S&T doesn't do much...

Some under the radar PF's:

Brandon Bass - the guy has limited salary protection this year, which means he is a free agent (I think)... Regardless this kid came on strong as he got more playing time and looks like a real player who has a lot of growing and potential to do... He'd be at the top of my wish list regardless... I really want this kid because of the type of player he showed he could be this year... He is only 23 years old, super athletic, is a good shooter, is strong and has super long arms... I love the kids potential and for in the mean time, he could be a very nice player...

Hakim Warrick - Yes PIP, I still want him over Navarro! He put up 16&6 two straight months when given major minutes for the Grizzly team... I love his versatility and overall game and I think he would be a solid fit here... One thing that shouldn't be underestimated is his ability to guard the athletic PF's we really seem to struggle with....

Troy Murphy - I've always thought he's been a solid consistent guy who could be a nice contributor off the bench... He might not be a terrific defender but he is a solid but his rebounding and shooting is what attracts me the most... I really think we need a 3PT shooter the PF/C spot and this guy would be great...

Charlie Villanueva - a lesser version of Murphy, same type of player, who I would take too because of his potential... I'm not crazy about him but would take him if the right opportunity presented itself...

Craig Smith - a lesser known player who could be a solid bench player here given the minutes, despite his size... He could be the odd man out in Minny and if so, I'd look into...

He's never averaged over 14 in his entire career. But now, at the age of 35, you could see him increase his career high average by 50%?

If we can bring in a top shooting guard, and camby is available I would do it. he is signed for only 2 more years at about 8 mill per. He would bring 10-12 points and rebounds, and should average 2-3 blocks per a game. He would be the strong finisher inside we need. But with his age at 35 come next season, bringing him in is only if we have a team that can win it all. If he is the only piece we add, then its useless.

Brand could force a sign and trade, and okafor might just be a pipe dream to me. The list of pf's is not bad, but i am not sure any are starter quality except if Bass develops fully develops, and maybe warrick. That being said, if we get someone like Redd, and add Bass or Warrick, thats a sold bunch.

This dude worked us over when we played them after the trade. That said, I am not impressed with his rebounding, he is too small, and he plays piss poor defense. He is a terrible passer as well. On the bright side, he has decent range, can provide instant offense off the bench, and is super athletic. I don't like him because of his size and the fact that he plays no defense.

Yeah? Its not like i'm going way over board, thats just 3 more field goals.. or 2 threes or 2 and ones or 6 free throws.

It is like you are going way overboard. He currently plays in an uptempo offense and averages 10 points a game, in a slow down grind it out offense that does not run plays for its pf, where do you expect his added points to come from? Thin air??

OR......

Getting fouled on a 3 and hitting the free throw...and then hitting two other techs for illegal D. You sold me...I'm on board! 20 pts it is.

Smooth-

I'll take good Hakim Warrick as we well... It's bad Hakim Warrick in which I want no part of.. :chuckles:

Wow, Camby is 35? Ewwww....

I mean Z is "only" 32, and it feels like he's been around forever.
