Official CLE Midseason Prospect Rankings

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lee is a trip and you should never take anything personal posted by him. I can't recall a time where he has spoken ill toward someone, but if you don't know them it's hard to pick up sarcasm or tone on a forum board.
Me neither.

To the people putting Greene in Top 15 or even Top 10, what am I missing? Solid looking prospect, but Halpin was the one who started in Lynchburg, not Greene.

I want to be optimistic, though. Just curious if we aren't overrating him a bit because he came over for Lindor.

I think it’s a combo of things. Scouts rated Greene high in our prospects due to what they saw in fall instructs in NY system versus older pitchers that Halpin is facing now. Yet, I think the reason to keep him in Arizona was to ease him into our system, kind of like keeping Rosario at SS early in spring training.

Halpin maybe a steal of our draft next to Allen in 2nd. He was probably pushed due to our lack of OF (Tucker remained in Arz) and he was just called up June 30th before any Az comparisons could start. So, it wasn’t that he was above everyone else as younger kids like Martinez started in Lynchburg.

Greene has been crushing rookie ball ... will not be there for long at this pace. .333 avg and over 1 OPS but limited sample (40 PA).

Eric Cross is a fantasy baseball writer and prospect analyst for Fantrax. Here is his top 10- post draft.

1. Daniel Espino
2. Tyler Freeman
3. Bryan Rocchio
4. George Valera
5. Aaron Bracho
6. Isaiah Greene
7. Nolan Jones
8. Jhonkensy Noel
9. Gavin Williams
10. EthanHankins

He commented that the Indians farm is so deep. He commented that Planez, Burns, Martinez, and a few others would be top 10 on a lot of other teams.

I mentioned his list because he knows the prospects and I believe is a very knowledgeable writer. His fantasy opinions have helped me as well.
Noel is a tricky one to rank.. You could make a case he is a bottom of the top ten type (like here) or that he isn't even a top 20 top 25 guy. How he performs once he returns from his latest injury will play a lot into his overall standing when this season is over.

Well the win-loss record with Noel in the lineup at Lynchburg said he has potential to be a great player. He's also one of those bubble Rule 5 guys, so I don't think we protect him nor he gets taken, but you never know...

Zero chance he gets taken in the Rule 5 this year. He’s played 17 games at Low A.

Is he actually a 3B or will he end up being a 1B? It’s really hard to be a highly ranked prospect at 1B.

He doesn't have a ton of innings at 3B, but a quick look says, he will be a 1B that you can throw at 3B if necessary, but with who we have in our system, I really doubt he plays there normally...

Hey Lee, Where is stated that a person can't be a fan of more than one sport? My father started taking me to hockey, baseball, football, and basketball games since I was 6 or 7 years old. I still attend games in all four sports. I can still name the starting lineup of the 1965 Indians. I know baseball. Don't be so narrowminded.

Serious question since I think anyone that can put a list together of top prospects to me is a knowledgeable fan so you should post more here.

Is hockey your favorite sport? Or the one you played or played best? And are you a Blue Jackets fan?

I know baseball ok, for the record, but there are some extremely knowledgeable fans and a couple of insiders on here. I post some opinion, but i cant reasonably put a prospect list together, i live that to the several dozen people who actually watch the minors and read up on it. Football is my #1 sport, followed by basketball. I am super knowledgeable in both, dont like hockey, but I grew up in Akron, so who knows.

I like to encourage people to actually participate in here because this is a highly knowledgeable and friendly forum and the more people who actively post, the better this place is.

Sorry about the bad joke misunderstanding, but i still think it was funny, but welcome, post more, right now you are at 5-6 posts a month, tell us your opinion, should we trade Jose, was Clevinger the worst trade ever, would I really look like a giant bowling ball in a Gimp suite, can @sportscoach really run a 4.3 40 in high school?

I ran a 4.4 before I hurt my back... My brother ran a 4.2... but otherwise the details are about right! Lol

@hockeyjohn sorry for the confusion, those of us who have been here awhile encourage @Lee jokes rather than discourage them, so you can blame someone like me who encourages it the most! We sometimes need the jokes around here since we got some super serious people...

Also I have coached multiple sports and I was the head coach of a swim team so we can all be fans of multiple sports. Baseball is my favorite to watch while soccer is my favorite to play. Though I need to start working off the dad bod cause by my injuries (I need surgery on my hand, both knees, both shoulders and likely my lower back cause of the mix of my physical condition and playing sports).

I don't always look at who is making the comment when I read here. I agree that levity is needed when following the Indians. I will learn to play along with the humor. Don't worry. All is good with me.
