OSU: No evidence of improper car deals

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wake me when you prove that Ohio State or Jim Tressel has anything to do with the above, if it's even proven to be remotely true by the NCAA....which is clearly still the biggest question mark.

Do you not know the rules of improper benefits? It doesnt matter if Tressel or OSU had anything to do with it. If the dealership is owned by a booster or the car salesman is a booster, then its an improper benefit. My guess is that the season tickets and the wall full of OSU stuff that the owner will be deemed a booster and thus the extended loaner car will be deemed an illegal benefit.

Do we know if that incident is even being investigated?

Also, it would be extemely difficult to prove the average person could not get a similar arrangement.

Yes, we know its being investigated. And no, its not hard to prove. All they have to do is show how many other extended loaners were given to other people who never bought a car at your dealership. This is very similar to the Reggie Bush incident. Improper benefit. It might be hard to prove that the coaching staff new, but that still wont mean some yahoo at a car dealership gets OSU in trouble for a player that already quit the program.

So I am not saying its fair, but yes it will be provable. And yes Pryor did receive benefits not available to the average person.

I think that is EXTREMELY probable.

The only thing that concerns me would be if Ohio State had KNOWLEDGE of that taking place. Which makes it completely unlike the USC situation.

At USC, not only did Bush get improper benefits....but the USC Asst. Coach was found to have FACILITATED it, which was an absolute killer.

Jack maxton gave my mother a loaner for 30 days once. should she be investigated?

the point is the cars were being purchased any loaners given out were from people who purchased vehicles and were getting warranty work.

and if that was to be investigated you would look at the repair and workload of the shop in regard to any loaners that were presented.

As far as so many shopping at one dealership. its called word of mouth advertising. it works.

I agree, warranty work gets you a loaner with any honest dealership. Explain the extended test drives?
