Preseason Game #2 | Cavs at Celtics | Friday, Oct. 10 | 7:30 PM (ET)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kinsey sucked it up a bit tonight but I couldnt care less. Its a preseason game and for all we know, Kinsey was told to pund the ball like that. Preseason games mean nothing and are used to just try stuff out. THe only thing they really show you is what guys look like in their uniforms and how guys like Hamilton and Williams match up in game situations.

Still not put off Kinsey at all.

Yeah but these are the games players like Kinsey have to advantage of. They have to play good and have a good showing otherwise they won't get any playing time once the season starts. Our backcourt is already packed up and by having a bad showing Kinsey hurts himself. These games are important. Players like Dupree and Jawad Williams could be above him if he continues to have showings like this.

Hopefully Kinsey's true game as a complimentary player shines when he's out there filling in the gaps with the better players, rather trying to create offense with the scrubs.

Kinsey was asked to be a primary scorer in the 4th. Guess what, it didnt work this time. Good news is that even if he doesnt work out, we have 22 other players in camp capable of playing the 2. Wally defense had issues, but his shot was sweet today. Pavs and west didnt even play.....we will be fine if kinsey is our biggest disapointment.

Hey we won the 1st half by 5. Thats all you can really look at for this game. I'll take it. Big Ben ruining our season is already beginning though. I guarantee his back "hurts" all season long. :thumbdown

Man we ain't won a Preseason Game yet.....should I be worried?

Only if you expect Mike Brown to play Darnell Jackson, Vernon Hamilton, Ronald Dupree, Jawad Williams and Lorenzen Wright for the entire 4th quarter of every game.

If that's the plan, then we better be terrified.

On the other hand, I'd look at the fact that we've won each of the 1st quarters & 1st halves we've played so far. That's the closest we've had to a normal rotation, and even then, our starters have played limited minutes.

We're good dude.

Can't help but wonder when we'll at least get our defense to top notch form...

Currently, I'm glad that Mike Brown is putting so much emphasis on the defensive end, but seeing games where our opponents have over 55% field goals makes me wonder if he's also trying too hard to make the offense work. And this is coming from someone who hasn't seen the team in action. Will our defense pick up quickly enough so it reaches the elite once more.

It seems that Mo is starting a little bad habit of foul trouble early on. He better cut them short, or he may start seeing action much later on (though, I have to admit that putting him in when LeBron goes out seems like an effective idea, just hopefully not due to foul trouble). J.J.'s very predictable at this point. Based on excellent observations from Wine and Gold, he's in for a long couple of months. But I think he'll be just fine, as well as Mo. When we had weaker defensive players like D.Jones and Wally, they couldn't stop their men, but compensated with some help defense and other players helping them out. It took those guys a couple of months to get it fixed, right? So by December at the earliest, J.J. and Mo should start seeing improvement and less fouls. Until then, I guess the preseason and November are gonna be very long defensively...

Aside from my defensive worries, I have to agree that with the real point guard running the team, we'll reach 100 points on a more regular basis perhaps. I wish I could've seen the team play multiple sets and defend for a 5 minute stretch, but I'll take your words for it, guys, that the offense looks pretty. Once LeBron starts seeing much time, he better not get stuck in the ball pounding mode too often! Hopefully, Mike learned from last year's "I'll-teach-you-guys-offense-and-trust-you'll-remember-how-to-play-defense" so we don't make the same mistakes...

No one wants to see a preseason game go to o.t.

Especially not the refs.

Most impressive stat of the game: Mo's 7 assists in 18 minutes.

When he's looking to pass it makes stats like Z 5 for 5, Wally 5 for 7, Lebron 6 for 9 possible.

Really has potential to be an awesome offensive machine.
