Preseason Game 4: Browns @ Chiefs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Maurice Hurst has been having a great preseason so far.

Tomlinson, Shelby, Hurst, and Ika is a good DT rotation for us and leagues better than what we had last year.

Why do people think that they can bait AB or KS into publicly talking bad about a player? They’re never going to do it. That’s not their style.

I feel like people who are still questioning Deshaun are simply looking for something to be wrong there. You’re creating misery that doesn’t exist.
Lol ok dude. He was legitimately well below average last year and people are hoping that’s not the case this year. He has shown nothing in a browns uniform to suggest he’s a top 10 QB

Not everything is a conspiracy. There are legitimate question marks surrounding Watson.

Average compared to what? Are you comparing him to QBs that played a full season or QBs that played 6 games? QBs that were on a new team that hadn’t played in 2 years in a real game?

Maybe putting so much emphasis on 6 games in the context that he played is what I was talking about.

It's not baiting. The kicking situation is a big topic of conversation and they have to ask.

Even Berry saying something like "We believe in Cade but we're always looking at ways we can get better" would be telling.

I still think Watson is the biggest question mark on this team.

I think Teller and Wills might be 2 and 3.

I don't mean they're the weakest links--just that I have a hard time confidently projecting this season for them. There's a wide variance that I could see as reasonable outcomes.

Every time the camera cuts to Schwartz he looks like he's gonna murder somebody.

When was the last time AB or KS publicly questioned a players ability, roster status, or contract?

They’ve never done it. Nothing they say about any of those 3 subjects will ever be telling because they’ll never tell.

Some people will be concerned about a bad 6 game sample, others won’t. My guess is it probably has a lot to do with what people’s ranking of Watson was in his Houston years. I have never considered him to be an elite QB. If it was Joe Burrow we were talking about here having a bad 6 games in the same circumstance I wouldn’t be nearly as concerned

But your original post was “creating misery that doesn’t exist”. I’m not miserable, I’m skeptical. If Watson is a top 10 QB this year I’ll be ecstatic. But that’s far from a slam duck

That's fine. Non-answers are the expectation. It would still be negligent of the media if they didn't ask.
