Preseason Game 4: Browns @ Chiefs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The same Joe Burrow that blew out his knee his rookie year? Deshaun Watson also missed a big chunk of a season with an ACL injury too btw.

Also worth noting that Deshaun Watson has had a larger sample size of games after his ACL injury than Joe Burrow’s so it’s not like there isn’t evidence that shows he can still be good after suffering a setback.
My point is that at no point in his career has Watson been a better QB than Burrow starting in year 2 IMO

That’s why I’d be less concerned about Burrow. He has proven to be a better QB than Watson and a truly elite QB so he’d get a longer leash

No I don’t. Just like I don’t think people were concerned about Joe Burrow’s ACL tear and both QBs came back playing at a high level. What part of football are people still questioning with Deshaun Watson? It’s not his passing ability or his ability to play the QB position. So where is the real concern?
It absolutely is his ability to play QB at an elite level.

New place, new scheme, 2 years removed from football. I have concerns.

It's not a given that he returns to 2020 form, let alone improving upon that.

It’s funny because you haven’t heard a single player on our team or any other team in the league questioning Deshaun Watson’s ability to still play QB at a high level. Why is that? The only doubts seem to be coming from fans or people in ten media that need to find a big bad for another season.
can you list some examples of players speaking out and saying their current starting QB can’t play or players putting down other teams opposing quarterbacks? What you’re describing doesn’t really happen for any QBs

you’re way off base if you think this is only a browns fan thing. Fans from all over don’t consider Watson elite and the majority of QB rankings I see slot him below Trevor Lawrence

So fun watching a close game in the last two minutes, even if it's preseason game #3.

While I understand others doubting Watson, I don't have much doubt myself. A QB of his caliber (borderline elite in Houston, IMO) will naturally show rust and take time to figure things out. But it's not like he missed time due to an injury. I've always felt strongly that he'd bounce back - whether that's back to he was, a little worse, or even better are all possibilities.

As far as Burrow goes - eh, he's elite for sure but I do think he's a tad overrated. People put him next to Mahomes and I just don't think he's there (or anyone else for that matter).

It's all about making the dance with a top tier QB. Mahomes is the best but he isn't going to win every year. If Watson returns to form on this team then we can beat anyone in the league.

WTF was that penalty, doesnt look like a face mask, didnt look like he pulled it off, but this KC feed i am watching is awful. It benifited us, so what do i care i guess, lol

ok, here it is, game winning 40 yard fg, over under he makes it?

welp, that should be the end of his Browns career, Alas por York, I knew him well.

Grade school level clutchiness.
