Pryor OUT at OSU

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No word on whether or not they paid for playing though....we'll leave that up to the reader.

He was so poor he had to trade pants and rings for cash, but he had no problem dropping a grand for 10 rounds at a country club? Yeah, that makes sense...

It's not Augusta National....If you visit their website anyone can seemingly join for about 40 bucks a month.

I'm sure the writer didn't ask the country club if Prior had joined the club...

Some OSU fans just are trying everything and anything to act like there's no violations. It's quite amusing.

Pryor was treated like and acted like a king at OSU. The guy made more money as a college dude than most people make in one year. Anyone saying he didn't is very much in denial. You can't make that kind of money by following NCAA rules.

What's more damaging than that is the very real possibility of OSU officials knowing he did just that and did absolutely nothing about it.

Both Gee and Smith will have to go in order for OSU to move forward in a positive way.

Country club memebrs normally can invite guest. if they have a fully paid membership. they can bring any guest for free. The journalist is speculating. Anything paid for the golf outing would of gone to the member not the club. and you would have to establish it was a benefit offered due to his status as an athlete because im sure the journalist had many guest who wre not athletes.

According to the story. Tressel found out and it didnt happen anymore.

Once again the reporter clearly established that it was not a recruiting violation. Pryor had already signed and it was quickly stopped when they found out.

You also dont know if this went to the compliance department or not. Im assuming not but really these are the kind of stories the NCAA gets all the time but do not always determine an infraction.

but lkets look at the ncaa rules

Except as provided in Bylaw 13.2.1.3, for violations of Bylaw 13.2.1 in which the value of the offer or inducement is $100 or less, the eligibility of the individual (prospective or enrolled student-athlete) shall not be affected conditioned upon the individual repaying the value of the benefit to a charity of his or her choice. The individual, however, shall remain ineligible from the time the institution has knowledge of the receipt of the impermissible benefit until the individual repays the benefit. Violations of this bylaw remain institutional violations per Constitution 2.8.1, and documentation of the individual's repayment shall be forwarded to the enforcement services staff with the institution's self-report of the violation. An institution's staff member or any representative of its athletics interests shall not be involved, directly or indirectly, in making arrangements for or giving or offering to give any financial aid or other benefits to a prospective student-athlete or his or her relatives or friends, other than expressly permitted by NCAA regulations. Receipt of a benefit by a prospective student-athlete or his or her relatives or friends is not a violation of NCAA legislation if it is determined that the same benefit is generally available to the institution's prospective students or their relatives or friends or to a particular segment of the student body (e.g., international students, minority students) determined on a basis unrelated to athletics ability. I'm fairly convinced Pryor made money off the autographs.

I really don't care at this point, since he's gone. I'm more concerned with what his actions will do to Ohio State.

Which isn't much, given these stories information....

Funny how all of the other pictures are ignored along the way.
