Rashard “Hollywood” Higgins

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That Glenville team with Ginn and Troy Smith was ridiculous. All of Ohio High School football was crazy that year. Warren Harding could've won the whole thing if their coach just gave the ball to Maurice Clarett every play. Every time they called a pass it was a relief to the opposing team.

Massilon had the always-overrated Justin Zwick at QB.

And, Ignatius, behind Nate Szep at QB and Anthony Gonzalez at WR, won the whole thing.

Eat that ass: I forgot Donte Whitner was on that Glenville team too.

I'm biased but that was the golden age of Ohio High School football. I can't forget Mr. Football Ray Williams. So much talent wasted there.

Between 2001-2010 Northeast Ohio High School Football sent a lot of dudes to the league that had pretty decent careers.

I defended Earl Boykins for about three possessions. I had London Fletcher defend me in hoops for about five minutes.

Both made me dump sports altogether in college and smoke mad bongs.

I used to play one on one against Brad Miller in my 20's, but that was more for fun and a joke.....we would play 21, i would brag about losing only 21-18....but he spotted me 18 points, lol.

Incase you were wondering, my career highlights include a 3 sack game, a sack on notorious douchebag Ricky Stanzi, stopping Mr Ohio Terrell Sutton in the backfield and then getting absolutely demolish by the same Terrell Sutton.

Thats about to.....

Sutton was the truth. Akron had a couple of doggs at RB for a string of years.

Justin Zwick...that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. I went to Perry and we absolutely despised Massillon. Justin and I graduated a year apart, I met him a few times at mutual friends houses. Couldn't stand the kid. Total Douche. As a buckeye fan I can admittedly say I was thrilled when he got beat out for the starting job at OSU.

Ricky Powers was my reality check and he only had a cup of coffee in the NFL, but he was so much better than me it wasn't even funny.

Mine was a real double whammy.

I first met Antoine Winfield when he was a senior and I was in my first year of middle school at my very first football practice of my life in 6th grade. He helped out at camp and practice sometimes in the summer and would do drills with us. I don't remember him being ridiculously fast, though I'm sure he was - it was his insane strength. Easily the strongest human I'd ever met at that point in my life. And he played fucking cornerback.

Beanie Wells was the other. He was an 8th grader playing around on the sidelines during our practices in the summer when I was a senior and he was already better than almost all of us on the varsity team. He was small back then and very shifty. Talked a tremendous amount of shit too. But I guess when you can juke players who made the all city team with ease before you're even in high school you can get away with it.

Whitney Mercilus of the Texans also went to my high school, but I was long gone by the time he got there.

Then there was that guy down the street playing basketball pretty well when I was growing up. It was humbling as fuck growing up in Akron and being an athlete. I was far above average athletically, and I still do really well in my rec leagues as an old man in my late 30s. But these guys felt like a different species.

You guys sure have a lot of HS football nostalgia to discuss about guys not named Rashard Higgins...

:falloff:

Would this have any impact on contract negotiations? Or will this be swept under the rug?
