Remembering Prince

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Favorite Prince story...kinda Cavs related.

After Carlos Boozer and his world class bitch wife Cece bolted from Cleveland for $70M, they bought a phat crib in LA for over $10M. The house was sick. CeCe was constantly sending photos of all the renovations she had done to the house to friends back in Cleveland.

So Prince's camp contacted the Boozer's and said they wanted to rent it for 8 months...he had an album release coming up or something. They agreed to $70K a month. Cece was bragging to anyone that would listen about it...she said they were going to be at his release party concert.

A couple months passed and one day she drove by the house and saw that Prince has put his symbol on their gate. This pissed her off real quick. She tried to get inside and no would open the gate and the code had been changed. That really pissed her off.

She drove by another time, the gate was open while some work trucks were pulling in and she went in. She immediately noticed that they had painted purple stripes, Prince symbols and some purple numbers all over the exterior of the house. Inside they had ripped up all her new carpet that she had personally picked out and replaced it with black and purple carpet. All the crown molding was painted purple. One bedroom was completely stripped and turned into a beauty salon. Another room had carpet ripped out and replaced with purple carpet with a huge Prince symbol. The master bedroom that she was most proud of was completely redone with purple furry everything, Prince symbols and monogrammed everything. Even the fountains and river water was dyed purple. She went nuclear.

She begged Carlos to go over and kick Prince's ass. She wanted to kill him. Eventually they sued and tried to evict Prince. That was never going to happen. Prince was ordered to let them on the premises to inspect if given 24 hour notice. Cece was begging Carlos to go over and he was reluctant. Eventually she convinced him to arrange to go over. He walked in and Prince was there. Prince was like "What's with all the lawyers? Sorry for the changes. Here you go...we cool?" He handed CB a check for over $500K. CB was like "Hell yeah, we cool."

Cece was bragging again, they were "friends" with Prince, it was just a misunderstanding and that they were going to be going to the concert at the house...blah blah blah. Allegedly when the party time came, they weren't on the list. :chuckle:

Thank you Prince for causing CeCe a lot of stress, anger and embarrassment during that year. :biggrinthumb:

Let's not forget how good of a basketball player he was.

For those of us who grew up in the early and mid-80s, Prince was ubiquitous. Him, Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna- part of the soundtrack of our youths. As much of an international superstar he was, he was always a Minnesota boy at heart. I respect Prince not only for his musical genius- and genius isn't overstating it- but for the fact that he never forgot his roots. I'm glad I got a chance to see him live. RIP, and I think I'll go cleanse myself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka now.

PRINCE PERCOCET TRIGGERED OD Days Before Death

Prince had OD'd on Percocet days before his death, and he ingested so much EMTs had to administer a "save shot" at the airport where his plane made an emergency landing to save his life.

Sources in Moline, Illinois tell TMZ, Prince's entourage told responders he had taken the painkiller after his Atlanta concert which triggered the emergency.

Percocet is a painkiller which contains a combination of acetaminophen and oxycodone, an opioid. It is highly addictive.

We're told Prince was taking painkillers for a hip problem. We're told he had corrective surgery for his hips around 2010.

As we reported, Prince went to his local Walgreens 4 times in the week leading up to his death. We got a photo of Prince in the parking lot of the Walgreens hours before he died. Witnesses say he was pacing and agitated, waiting for someone to bring out his meds.

Legalize pot....

Unfortunately man, that's not going to cut it. :(

Sadly, doctors in this country are literally getting people hooked on hard drugs.
Ironic, I'm watching "prescription thugs" right now

Between docs/big pharma and criminalization of drugs... Just Jesus

They won't let you leave without a prescription for oxy... I speak from experience, recent experience; just had a shoulder injury, was pretty bad, docs told me it wouldn't heal unless I was taking pain meds (Oxy).. was complete bullshit, but they wanted to push a script on me. Really found it amazing. Doc told me he takes the shit almost every night.

As I left the hospital, I remember thinking, "man this is fucked up.. I wonder how many of these doctors and nurses are really drug addicts."

I'm just appalled by how flawed a drug adderall is..

It's meth..

The first time I wad prescribed it I was 13.. They're giving it to everyone.

Doctors are giving kids meth.

Did you take it?

I took it once..

I can't work, think, or function on oxycodone; and I'm in a condition that I feel like a fucking drone. That's not something I feel comfortable with, at any moment in time.

I took it the one time because the pain was just insane (10/10) and I figured, man, wtf! It honestly felt like my arm was ripping itself out. And it wasn't just pain; the muscle from my neck down to the top of my shoulder was spasming so violently that something felt like it was going to give.

After taking it once though.. that was it for me. Tossed the bottle in the fucking trash. Got physical therapy and just took the muscle relaxers and ibuprofen. Fucked up my stomach regardless for like 3 months, but it was better than being doped out every day.

Yeah I feel the same. The problem is we all grew up putting doctors on a pedastle. What people should understand more is that healthcare is now a business just like anything else.

Don't revere your doctor just because he is a doctor. Question things, research things, etc. yourself.

Shop around and find a doctor that's thinking aligns with your own.

The business of healthcare has changed the work of physicians to the point where they can't be blindly trusted just because they are a doctor. They have money to make, just like anyone else. And with brand name drug costs out of control, it doesn't make things any easier.

I went to my doctor after i received a promotion b/c i've never been a "self-starter." If you tell me what needs to be done with a deadline attached, i'll get it done but having to take time to not only schedule my day out as well as my team's was a bit daunting.

Even after mentioning that i had "dabbled" in taking adderall in college for studying, which anyone will tell you is a BIG no no if you're trying to get an adderall prescription, my doctor answered with, "well personally, i love adderall. I wouldn't be able function without it." Not less than 5 minutes after i was walking out of my dr.'s office with three months worth of scripts for it. No psychological testing, no piss test, nothing.

That was the first time i took a step back and analyzed the entire situation. Even though i've been going to this doctor well over ten years and we have established an incredibly honest rapport (knows I am a habitual marijuana smoker, knows of past...errr...lets just say penicillin works in many ways) I was still was shocked at how easy it was to receive such a highly-regulated drug.

That shit is everywhere on college campuses.

I swear to God, not even exaggerating, kids treat it like people used to treat coffee. Big night of studying? Better pop some addy.

And it's not even like it's only the big partiers or people who do other drugs. Squares use the stuff. They think its like the Limitless pill or something. I'm pretty convinced that its a placebo for most.

I tried it once just to see if it actually helped. Didn't do shit for me except keep me up for 36 hours straight and I was totally exhausted for my test...

Vyvanse is another one that people use.

It's something you heave to learn to use.. Changes how your brain works. You think like a laser and have to make sure it's pointed at the right target.. Hard to put big pieces together, like prioritize for example.. Lot of guys, sets them off sexually

On the dark web they go for 20$ each.. 10$ is a fair price on the street.. I get 60 a month for 30$.

Back when I had some stuff happen last year I was up to 90 (1800mg) a month.. 2.5 a day.. Shit halpens quick
