Is Baseball a sport that attracts young people or black people? Honest question..... If not, is it wasted marketing to attempt to do so to demographics that won't be interested no matter how much they are courted?

It's a slow game, comparatively speaking. It's hyper stats driven, which loses a fair number of people's interest by itself. I loved box scores and stats, I loved playing even if I wasn't that good, I love a summer evening in the upper deck even if there is no scoring for 3 or 4 innings. That doesn't appeal to everyone.
I disagree with this. You could say now that there's other mainstream alternatives, there is no longer a need for baseball among those demographics, however we are a multitasking society and baseball remains something that can be watched much better while on our phones or whatever. I think we just need people more interested in the result.

We do see in history that it was actually the opposite. And what part of our history matters more to baseball - Larry Doby or bridge guardians? Old statues are a great celebration of a certain kind of history.

I don't think your experience has to be everyone's experience. I wouldn't be focused on selling baseball on its box scores and stats. I'd be focused on selling it as a fun night out, something to root for together as a city, etc. We also have a bit of an opening with baseball right now. MLB is a perfect league for the sports gambling that is now popular, with its plentiful games. Young people have parents wanting to avoid brain injuries with football so hopefully at least kids will continue to play and have some interest in the game.

No I don't expect massive amounts of people to instantly become interested in baseball out of nowhere but we can make strides. It's not all binary.

Let's try to stay away from racial tropes in here. Could go off the rails really fast.
I tried to be respectful, but I understand. My intent was not to be denegrating toward any demographic, but only point out that not all sports appeal to all people. I largely don't 'get' soccer, and frankly the general 1-0 game results sound boring to me. Same with hockey in a general sense.

I think it’s gonna be Foresters based on that three part test.

So, do we logo something like Stanford did?
I was going to suggest a buckeye leaf, but it kind of looks like cannabis.

However, the crown of a deciduous tree could be the negative space in a "C" logo.

I've been persuaded. I'll come off my earlier support of Spiders for the
Foresters. I wouldn't mind some changes. Forest City has history, connection, and could provide a marketing boost. There's nothing I don't like about those sample unis, even the logo, though maybe it could be set against a baseball diamond or something.

The first professional baseball team in Cleveland was referred to in the papers as “Forest City” and colloquially known as the Forest Citys.

Not directing this at you @NorthCoastBias but is anyone else tired of seeing former team names from the 19th century continue to pop up as though it's relevant? The Cleveland Forest Citys were founded just three years after the Civil War ended and folded seven years before Edison first patented the freaking light bulb. When the recent press release mentioned honoring the history of Cleveland baseball, I have to imagine it was in reference to history of the club that wasn't over 150 years ago.

So you would also be against the Blues and Naps, yes?
