I'd make damn sure I'm first in line to get Cousins.
Klint Kubiak too, while I'm at it.

What's stopping them from negotiating low risk, high reward contract with little guaranteed after next season if other options don't pan out?I would point out both MKC and Rap said there will be no negotiations on a new contract.
Clearly the Browns aren't out on upgrading on Baker, and this is more of a "well, what else can we do" type of thing.
No real reason for Baker to sign it, honestly. What's stopping them from negotiating low risk, high reward contract with little guaranteed after next season if other options don't pan out?
Gartner Minshew is a permanently injured version of Baker MayfieldI wonder what it would take to get Gardner Minshew.
He's someone who I think can play at a reasonable level while the Browns can also look at lotto tickets in the draft.
Flores will end up in Denver and so will Watson. Denver will then be a really good team.
Not so fast. Watson apparently doesn't like cold weather cities, which would make Denver like a longshot.Flores will end up in Denver and so will Watson. Denver will then be a really good team.
One guy was the first overall pick and the other was a 6th round pick. Both are feisty competitors. Talent-wise they aren't all that different.Gartner Minshew is a permanently injured version of Baker Mayfield
This was the first thought that came to mind. I haven't followed the situation that closely, but I believe the bridge between Watson and Caserio isn't completely burnt down? Not so fast. Watson apparently doesn't like cold weather cities, which would make Denver like a longshot.
How about this crazy scenario that I heard this morning- Houston fires David Culley & hires Flores (he & Caserio worked together in NE). Flores then is able to mend fences and Watson stays with the Texans.
Cam Newton?Nope. Not unless they bring in someone to replace Case who can compete with Baker for the starting job.
Not what I had in mind. I was thinking more along the lines of Trubisky or Mariota.Cam Newton?
I believe you're correct. Of course, the Texans still have a head coach, at this point, but it will be interesting to watch this play out. This was the first thought that came to mind.
