I think the topic has been beaten into the Earth and this is the perfect summary. There are 6 to 8 quarterbacks who could be moved this offseason who would absolutely give the Browns more production than they got out of 2021 Mayfield.
But we all know a healthy Mayfield is almost certainly going to give more Production than he gave in 2021 too. Will it be equal to 2020? Will it be slightly more? Slightly less? That's what we don't know.
So it boils down to two things for me.
1. How much better do the Browns think one of the veteran QBs would play compared to a healthy Mayfield?
2. How much would it cost in terms of draft pick compensation to acquire said veteran?
I've always thought unless its the Rodgers or Wilson, Baker will be back next year because the cost/benefit of acquiring anyone else is minimal if not negative.
And if that's the case, I want Baker to ball out.
