RGIII: Hardly Knew Thee

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wish the Cowboys didn't jump us for Dak.

I just can't get excited for Kessler. I'm not saying Dak is the truth, but I'm almost certain Kessler is just a worse Colt McCoy
Browns had the 31st pick in the 4th round. cowboys the 37th in the 4th round

The Browns took their qb with the 31st pick of the 3rd round.

The Browns had no intention of drafting Prescott. Buffalo may have though

Am I missing something? Is he not coming back eventually?
Physically or mentally ?

He makes Romo look like an iron man

Pats would give us Jimmy G and a pick.....

For Joe Thomas

I know this was satire, but they'd have no interest in Thomas.

The Patriots aren't looking to add salary. They can't.

They traded away Chandler Jones because they couldn't afford to keep him, Jamie Collins (their top priority), and Butler.

They just restructured McCourty's contract to help make room to try re-sign their key guys next year. So, Jimmy G is going to be a problem. They can't keep both him and Tom Brady. One has to go next season.

I'm Cavs fan and Partiots fan so I'm reading a lot what are you talking guys about Browns on RCF. I don't want to lose Jimmy G because he is really good but there is no chance Bill will keep both Tom and Jimmy(he will get paid) but if Bill wants to trade him eventually when Tom comes back then I would like to see him in Browns. Jimmy G/Josh Gordon look good :)
And i will leave this here :D

Dumb to trade for him when he'll more than likely just leave unless you pay him (even then its not a guarantee). Going to have to pay him regardless, so might as well save the draft pick. I did like his game though coming out and still obviously on Sunday.

And he's just guaranteed to pick the Browns, of all places, to come and play, eh?

There's going to be a bidding war for Garoppolo on the market. There's a lot of teams that need a QB, and their situation is a hell of a lot more lucrative than the Browns.

The Browns just might be one of the few teams NE would be open to trading him to, given we have a stock pile of picks on hand.

But yeah, obviously you don't trade for him if he's not open to signing an extension.

.
I didn't say that at all. I even said that the Browns paying him isn't a guarantee.

Huh? If they're willing to trade actual assets, why wouldn't you pay him?

This isn't the NBA by the way, not all the money is guaranteed making it easy to cut guys.

If you're willing to trade for him, the Browns wouldn't do it unless he'd agree to sign an extension.

Otherwise it'd be pointless. You don't trade possibly a first round pick, or a couple of second round picks (just guessing what the value might be), for a guy that you're not sure of offering an extension to.

If the Browns aren't sure, they wouldn't do that trade. If Jimmy would have no interest, which would surprise me given hey, it's money, and in the NFL you take it, then obviously you don't consider trading for him.

Should have worded it better, but I meant it isn't a guarantee he'll pick the Browns no matter how much they pay him.

In free agency, I agree. That's why I said letting him hit the market, thinking we'd have a chance is nuts.

That doesn't mean he'd refuse at all costs to play here (maybe he would).

That'd be surprising given one, he'd be looking at a fat pay check. It's unusual for young players to say no to money, especially given he's not made squat in this league yet. And two he'd get to be the starter without question going into this season and moving forward.

When Brady comes back, he's obviously going to start, not Jimmy.

Yeah it will be interesting to see what they do. I wouldn't put anything past Belichick. Brady isn't getting any younger, and Browns fans as much as anybody know how important a QB is. Unless Bill just plans to say fuck it and retires when Brady does. He doesn't have anything to prove.

I think Belichick originally was set to let Jimmy go. That's why they drafted a QB, but it's true circumstances can change fast in the NFL. They did restructure Tom's deal in the off-season too, gave him a few more years, and along with Bill saying he's definitely starting when he comes back no matter what.

Doesn't sound like they're ready to cast Brady off after this year yet. I don't blame them either, he's yet to shown he's fallen off like Peyton. So it'd probably be crazy to send him packing without seeing seriously decline first.

But hell, you never know with Bill. He's known to do the unthinkable leaving us all surprised. But there's no doubt both Brady and Jimmy won't be on the roster come next season. It's basically impossible.

random observation, but does anyone follow RG3 on twitter? Filled with cliche and seems to have zero personality.
