RGIII: Hardly Knew Thee

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
random observation, but does anyone follow RG3 on twitter? Filled with cliche and seems to have zero personality.

He's a celebrity. If he's smart he has a PR person who does that shit for him so he doesn't post stupid things that get him in trouble like some athletes.

I still want to see him play. I think he can win us at least two of our remaining games.

Wtf do you want to win two games for?!

People want to win a game or 2 to avoid the 0-16 jokes/stigma. At this point screw that... We get jokes about how the Browns are so bad they don't know how to tank properly already, when the team does win a few games and picks everywhere in the top-10 other than #1.. Tank right, even if it is a bad tank year for QBs.

There's also the argument about giving the players something to build confidence on and trying to drag yourself from a losing culture, but I don't see one or two wins making an impact on that at this point.

Did you guys forget the efect that losing had on Kyrie, Tristan, and Love the first year LeBron came back? I know an 82 game season is different than a 16 game season but we saw first hand how much of a toll losing can take on a team and it's culture.

I hope you don't think if we go 0-16 and have a great draft next year that some of these guys will just naturally figure out how to win next season. At this point in the season the culture of this organization is more important than wins and losses. The problem is losing every single game makes it harder to change.

For everyone who keeps saying lose every game and get the #1 pick, how do you expect to really turn this thing around? At what point will you want to win games? And by then how easy do you think that's going to be after losing like this? Go back and look at that Cavs team in 2014-2015. It took months for some of those guys to shake that losing habits and that was with the best player in the world on our team.

As much as we want to add talent in the draft the best way we can we still need to be mindful of the players we want to move forward with and how this losing will effect them.

Considering we've been awesome at losing since coming back into the league in '99, the only players on this roster that are potentially being negatively affected by losing is the rookies and and the two year players and frankly, i've been impressed with their collective play overall.

Thomas, Haden, and Barnidge are really the only holdovers that have experienced constant regime changes. It's most important to not lose the players we recently added to this team, as well as continue to develop a sustainable culture through the players we have yet to draft.

This is why we have to hope Hue, the statistician, and the attorney have a plan in place and can keep the old billionaire from trying to pull the strings because right now, it reads like a bad sitcom.

I think they can execute their plan and not go 0-16. I don't think their plan was to develop young players and disregard winning some games. Winning 2-3 games this year won't ruin their plan. They've clearly shown the ability to accumulate draft picks and have shown that they can be aggressive in turning those picks into talent like Jamie Collins. While securing the #1 pick will be nice, missing out on it won't break us like it did in years past.

I just don't see how we don't end up 0-16. The "easy" part of our schedule is behind us.

Who cares if we go 0-16? The Lions made the playoffs 3 years after going 0-16, it's not like it's some stench that can never be washed off of a team. If 1-15 can still guarantee us the number 1 pick then sure, win a game. I'm not sure who would win the strength of schedule tie breaker between us and the 49ers though, so I'd rather play it safe with 0-16.

Wtf do you want to win two games for?!

In his last 12 games, with at least 15 pass attempts, RGIII is 1-11.
In his last 22 games, with at least 15 pass attempts, RGIII is 4-18.

He has a winning % below .200 in his last 22 games.

The tank will be fine. Take a deep breath.

Well this is year 1 of the rebuild. Our goal is to make the playoffs in 2 more years.

I gave the Browns/Hue 3 years to turn this around, not 3 more after an 0-16 season. That is just Hue driving the tank like a fucking professional. Now you have 2 more years to turn this around. If he goes 0-16 or 2-14 next year, then there has to be some questioning. I am not exactly saying a full turnover, but we would have to take a deep look into the system.

To get back onto the RG3 subject, if he can come back and gives us an opportunity to win a game and NOT blow our #1 pick, then bring him back in. Maybe the #1 pick isn't even that valuable to them right now? No QB seems to be a franchise QB off the bat and everyone is in love with Myles/Allen. Maybe they view them as 1(a) & 1(b). Kessler can still learn more, and even Hogan can learn from RG3 on scrambling, etc..

If RG3 can play, bring him back in. Won't hurt Kessler's development as a great backup and will only benefit Hogan.
