RIP John Adams

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I actually knew his wife for a time.

During LeBron 1.0, I went and watched the beginning of a Tribe game before going to a Cavs playoff game that started a little later. I went to talk to his wife while at Progressive Field. When he saw I was wearing a LeBron jersey, he said, "I hope the team wins for the good of the city, but I'll never support that Yankee lover."

He was a legend.

The more I think about John Adams, the more I am affected by his passing.
Of course, I want to offer my condolences to his family and friends. But you know what - Thats all of us.
He has a special place in the hearts of all Cleveland baseball fans.

He started drumming in old Cleveland Municipal Stadium. Many of you had never been there. It was a hell hole for baseball. (and the team usually matched that park.)
So in his 50 years of supporting Cleveland baseball, he saw 3 World Series, and never tasted a World Championship.
That should happen to no one with that level of commitment.

Always waiting for Next Year.
That's another reason why ownership should make every effort to "go for it" when there's a chance.

Add John Adams to the needed bobbleheads for 2023...

RIP Cleveland legend... Listen to the clouds on a lazy summer night at the ballpark... Who knows what you'll hear.

Take a few moments to show some love today, take care fellas.

You need a game to honor him as well....

Sincerely the games haven't been the same since he left. Like he got the crowd into it and made the energy so far greater than you could find anywhere else...

Completely agree. It was kind of a bummer last year. Now it’s a huge bummer. A great guy.

I like the idea of naming the bleachers after him.
