They will eventually get in. They had multi-generational appeal in the late 90s. You could play the music with your parents and little brother and nobody would complain.
I wonder if Dave's South African heritage led to some hesitancy from the nominating committee. Matthews the man seems like an inoffensive and good person, but some people may bring up his Apartheid childhood. Putting Dave in as the first African-born artist would be sticky.
Anyways, he's a good example of my concern that the nominating committee has displayed bias towards pushing mediocre acts from the Baby Boomer generation rather than moving on to the best Gen X had to offer.
So are you saying not to let Steve Nash into the hall because he was born in South Africa? I know you are just saying its a maybe, but I doubt where he was born has anything to do with it, its because he is a cross between a folk singer and a boy band and some voters dont like his music and over think this shit.
