Round 3, Game 1 | Cavaliers vs. Magic | May 20, 2009 | 8:30PM (EST) TNT

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Qaatar, I'm talking about on the ball defense. Stop making up and bringing up useless comments. You think KG could do a better job guarding Kobe and Lebron than Artest and Battier? lol.

awww...you guys are upset because I understand the game of basketball and I can take off my Lebron goggles and see the game for what it really is? That I'm not overly bitter over a close loss and understand it's a long series.

It's not a personal attack, it's just understanding the game. I've watched Lebron since he was in high school. I was courtside when he lost to Roger Bacon in the finals his junior year. He went off for 32 points. Trust me, I'm a huge Lebron fan. But I can take off my Lebron/Cavs goggles and still critique his game.

Go back and read what I wrote again. You said "better defenders"...to anyone, but maybe not to you, that means...well...a better defender, on ball or not? When did I say KG would do a better job on Kobe than Artest or Battier? All I said was, in terms of points allowed, which is the ONLY statistic that matters when we're talking about defense (which is also what I assumed you meant, when you said they were "better defenders"), KG has a much more noticeable impact than Artest or Battier. That is proven by the fact that, without KG, the Celtics are giving up more than 8-9 ppg extra.

I was just saying that what you were talking about was wrong. It doesn't matter if Artest or Battier can shut Kobe down, if Kobe's teammates are making shots, and the Rockets lose. On the same token, it also doesn't matter if Kobe is scoring 40 on Paul Pierce, as long as KG helps out and bothers every other Laker (as well as Kobe), in the game and the Celtics win.

Anyway, no point to argue about this in this thread. We assumed you're trolling, because every single post of yours has a somehow negative connotation towards the Cavs. If that wasn't your intention, I apologize for calling you out.

Wow.

That's way too many minutes after an 8 day break for him, no wonder he looked like he didn't have his legs under him and missed that last 3.

He played all but 1:24? Jeez.

Damn right... and Hedo was going all Steve Nash out there.

Seriously this brings out the question "Did Sasha bang Mike Brown's mother?"

and Z playing 32? Give me a break. There were 2 players who deserved their minutes. The obvious one is LeBron and the other is AV.

Ok its bad enough the cavs lost, but now we have these idiots in this thread talking about Artest, Battier, KG, and Kobe. Someone please ban these fools. They contribute nothing but stupidity.

MB your coach of the year. Prove it. He has proven that he can make the adjustments on defense throughout a 7 game series. He has to do it again.

One last thing before I go to bed and cry :chuckles:

I'd swear on my life, seriously, on my very own life that in the last possession if LeBron have just ran into Gortat, he would be shooting 2 freebies.

Have a good night everyone...It's already morning here (7.25 am to be exact)

On the NBA channel, Steve Smith is pounding on Brown for not playing Sasha instead of Wally. He said if Wally isn't hitting shots, he shouldn't be on the floor. He says at least Sasha gives the Cavs a chance to get some stops.

I've been wondering this since i first saw him post to tell the truth. Its always been in the back of my mind reading his posts.

So, what am I, a troll? Reading my posts on what? I said the Magic have a better team than the Cavs on paper, which is true, but means nothing since they don't have the consistency to back it up.

Or is it for me bringing up some old posts about the Celtics and Lakers in this thread? If that's the case, I apologize.

I enjoy talking about other teams as well...I'm a fan of the NBA as well as a Cavs fan. If you mean that I'm not a hardcore Cavs fan, you're probably right. If that's enough to ban me, well, there's not much I can say.

As far as grammatical mistakes, I'm not sure what you mean exactly, unless you were being facetious.

because Boobie is his back-up...

seriously though, I'm ready for some Sasha time. Sasha gives us another long player who could defend Rashard or Turdofglue, which is something we're clearly going to have issues with in this series.

Our best line up IMO would look like this

C- Varejao (Guards dwight)
PF- LeBron (Guards Rashard)
SF- Sasha (Guards TurkOGlue)
SG- Delonte (Guards Lee)
PG- Mo (guards Rafer)

Wow, yeah, I was surprised we didn't see any Sasha. he's supposed to be one of our better perimeter defenders.

Now that we have a better idea of what we're up against, coupled with the fact no way do the magic shoot as hot every game this series, we'll be fine.

well that sucked...its only one game tho and it was the first one

get back out there on friday and get back on the horse

Lebron said he is not injured, just cramped up from a lack of fluids.

I loved Mo being hard on himself. Loved what he said.
