You said if the video is true, Bauer is innocent.

Nobody is claiming that video is false. It's assumed to be true.

Therefore, it's fair to judge the conditional clause "Bauer is innocent."

I agree with the other posters who are pushing back against your take. That video alone does not clear Trevor of any wrongdoing.

I have the story like this...

Bauer met this girl from online/mutual people or whatever... They met and Bauer (who was notorious for hookups and fun nights) they probably had alcohol and she wanted it rough and kept saying to be rougher and in the heat of the moment, went to far...

She asked him for another fun night again and he went the same roughness again like he did the time before (and possibly pushed it a little more). Since the first time she allowed it, he thought it was okay to do it again. He wasn't told he went to far the first time and she invited him again to do it.

If someone isn't corrected and isn't told they went to far and asked to do that same thing again, do you think they aren't going to be pushing the same thing again?

Not just innocent. A victim…

None of us disagree he went to far in the bedroom, but she has some blame as well for allowing him to do it once and then hooking up again and asking for it again...

but Bauer isn't 100% at fault for this since she invited him back to do it again

He didn’t have to accept an invite or any further contact.

he pushed it a bit a far but instead of stating what he did and staying away from him

Too far === knocked her unconscious

this was a hookup that went to far, not someone beating a significant other.

He punched her until she was not conscious.

Excuse after excuse after excuse.

Guy should never pitch again, as far as I’m concerned. I don’t care about whatever false equivalence to others, I’d be more than happy to take a subjective look at others and make the same determination,

Invariably, there will be others rushing to the defense of abusers regardless of case.

Just tell us when they can play again…

He did it the first time and she invited him back to do it again... He went to far, but she has some fault to. That's my point... She could have ghosted him no problem after the first time but to invite him again kind of said it was okay to do...

@sportscoach
You continue the narrative that Manfred wanted Bauer out of the league but forget Manfred is an employee of the owners.

Perhaps it is the owners that are tired of all things / baggage that is part of Bauer in the league.

One final point: Bauer might have the ability to play in the league again (since reduced suspension) but no team is obligated to sign or put him on the field, not even the LA Dodgers. LAD could inform Bauer to stay away & send him the required checks under the current signed contract.

Of course it doesn't exhonerate.. but for a woman to claim to have been beaten.. two hours later being seen smiling for the camera while Bauer sleeps beside her?..something not genuine there..

Blame is easy to dole out.. when only part of the truth is exposed..

Have you watched Bauer's videos? Bauer hates Manfred and calls him out at any time he can.

Now his candor and words could also make a fair amount of owners dislike him as well, so the owners could have agreed/looked the other way when Manfred did the extra long suspension. There is a reason why it went from 324 to 194...

And sincerely with your last point, it will be up to a team to give him another chance and he has enough talent, I could see someone giving him a chance again with certain conditions.

Plus I have a hunch, Bauer has some type of mental issue, which if he was growing up now, he would be diagnosed... I'm leaning towards ADHD that is on a hyper focus and causes some autistic type of tendencies. He has a high IQ, but also the side effects of it...

She specifically said she did not ask to be knocked unconscious and Bauer apologized in the materials I linked.

We get it.

Bauer couldn’t help himself, he couldn’t possibly not knock her unconscious. It’s her fault too, because she “asked for it.”

She invited him back, as such, being nearly bludgeoned to death is nobody’s fault.

Just let us know when he can play baseball again, he’s a victim.

Characterizing as "...coming to the aid of an abuser..." is inaccurate..

No it isn’t.

Calling him a victim if a video is true is nonsensical, and stupid.

The antithesis of objective or rational behavior, explicitly aiding a man who punched a woman until she was unconscious.

People like you want to come to the aid of the abuser and then pretend not to realize that your words explicitly defend abusers.

Again.. there is no coming to the aid of an abuser..

you're wrong about that..

No pretending is going on..

You're wrong about that..

No aid of a man is being offered or stated..

you're wrong about that..

The only thing explicit is your inability to comprehend what was stated..

...making you stupid..

So you’re not coming to his aid you’re simply calling him the real victim?

Okay (eye roll)

People can’t take accountability for their own words any more than they hold abusers responsible for punching women unconscious.

Sign of the times.

I have not watched a Bauer video since late 2019. Just not interested in it.

Yes some team might give Bauer a chance to play again but there is more baggage with him then any other player in MLB at this point. Heck, Puig had less baggage & he couldn’t find another MLB contract after his deal ended in CLE.

No aid.. IDK about being a victim... the unsatisfied conditional statement hasn't been vetted. Until it is, then no victimhood.. only the chance he is or isn't..

Eye roll all you want..

Accountability begins, stays and ends with the full understanding of the comments made.. The times haven't changed for that..
