If Amed is great at getting into DP's, then he's the guy to fill the 2 hole.

When the 1 hole is full, someone with the experience and ability to effortlessly make the DP happen is invaluable.
Sorry, meant to say "hit" not "get".

Last year Rosario had 133 plate appearances with a runner on 1st and less than 2 outs. He hit 374/376/519 with 19 GDPs.

Gimenez had 100 such plate appearances and slashed 247/299/371 with 9 GDPs.

I'll live with a few more DPs and stick with Amed.

I can't wait until Amed is no longer a conversation piece.

That's next season...
What was the last expensive FA that they let walk after their contract was up? You can't use Brantley because he was injured the 2 prior seasons and had no value.

Maybe Amed sticks around all season, but that would be a mistake and he shouldn't be part of the conversation now.

You have been wanting to trade like half the team yesterday and hope it works... lol

Honestly, it really seems like Cleveland hasn't gotten a good deal for Amed, so that means he is the starting SS and likely in the 2 hole...

Deal with it...

He's not being displaced and hes not getting traded if he goes north with the team unless he badly struggles and/or the team is out of the running. He's got a very high chance of finishing the season as a Guardian.

You are complaining about a guy who got over 4 bWAR in 22...

He could bat 2nd. (Next year.)

Next season Rosario is out of Cleveland so the opposite spot of Gimenez will be open, so someone then will have to take the two hole...

I feel like Straw/Brennan will stay in the 9 hole for now (though on paper Brennan may end up in the 2 hole if he takes the starting CF spot, since he a .370+ OBP% candidate)...

When it comes to Rocchio... He's never been great at the OBP% role, so I'd rather have someone who gets on base more (Aka I don't like Rosario in the 2 hole, I like him more 6/7...

rosario. as long as he is here he can fill the #2 hole.

Complete and utter BS, but you do you.

Again, you don’t know what has or hasn’t been offered so discussing it is a moot point.

I’m glad that he had over 4 bWAR. Hopefully someone pays for that mirage. I suspect they will at some point as $10M for an average bat/below average defensive SS isn’t something Cleveland typically does.

I see you couldn’t answer the question.

Probably the most solid argument to stay the course I have read, this plus Tito's proclivities probably equals Amed batting 2nd routinely... I hope Andres is a MONSTER in 2023... Make it so Tito doesn't have a choice...

Voting remains close.

Amed runs like a bat out of hell. Batting 2nd is fine.

My question is who is our RH DH against a tough LH SP? (With Bell at 1B.)
Oscar will either DH or be in right. One out of Arias and Freeman will bat in the other spot.
