That is an interesting name, in Washington Code Talkers. I mean doesnt sound like a major league team, but honestly i like where the Chief is going with the idea since it honors the Navajo

I’m not sure if this name has been discussed here yet, but what does everyone think about the name Captains? If the Lake County affiliate goes under, they could then take the name from them or have them rename the club if they remain active. Based on the reaction to the name online and on sports talk radio, I feel as though it is one of the less polarizing name suggestions and comes with a level of familiarity as well. Lots of strong logo potential too. Of course, alliteration is always a plus.

I hate singular nouns as team names -- sounds way too MSL/WNBA to me. I don't like "Cleveland Tribe" for that reason, but what about "Tribesmen?" Keeps the name, and "Tribesmen" is much more ethnically neutral than "Tribe". You could be freaking Visigoths with a name like that.

Not sure if most people will know who they are, but i mean you cannot get any badder than the non-Roman people who sacked Rome. Though maybe something similar that maybe has a connection to Cleveland hmm...
