The next star or super star safari.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Carmelo for Tristan is the only realistic thing I've seen.

Don't think that makes us good enough, but no doibt these first two games are closer with that swap.

No we can't do that because you can't add a superstar to our championship core cause that's unfair to everybody else....Instead let's position the league to remove a star player from the Warriors to make it fair for us ....... :hsugh:
Well, the NBA would be a significantly better league right now if they blocked Durant from signing with the Warriors.

Now we are left with a prayer of a star forcing his way here without having to give one up in return just to have a chance and make the league somewhat watchable the next few years.

This is the fucked up situation Coward has created.

If the NBA is nearly as heavily involved behind the scenes as some here think, then they should guarantee ex-team of the said star the #1 pick in the 2018 draft for helping to save the league.

Okay well let's just break these teams up then... Cause the Cavs have really way more talent than they should have as well and are crazy tax payers....

So let Orlando take LeBron and to be fair we'll give Love to Dallas to replace Dirk...

The Warriors can send Curry to Charlotte so he can be home.... Durant must go to Sacramento to make sure every California team is relevant...

Oh and just for good measure let's keep an eye on that New Orleans situation cause having the top 2 big men in the game could register as ruining the league....If they get off to a hot start Cousins must go to Brooklyn and if Minnesota's talent blossoms I'd assume Wiggins would just be placed on Detroit's roster just cause....

Balance !!!!! Competitiveness !!!!! Fairness !!!!

Wait, Carmello for TT, Phil will get murdered. Noah and TT would be very, very, very bad.

Phil is better off dumping him for peanuts, basketballs, and salary cap relief, plus a filler to make salaries work. No way he takes TT back.

I really don't know what the Cavs could do, JR's money could go to a CP3, just imagine. Extreme paycut but he'll live off his state farm commercials. Wade could opt out and say fuck the money, I'll live off my Chinese shoe deal and sign for the minimum to help LeBron. Melo will demand his destination to be Cleveland and Phil takes Frye and something, probably Shump. But that'll be a 3 team trade for sure. Then Cavs trade Love for George and I fucking dare GS to stop CP3-Kyrie-Melo-George-LeBron and Wade as 6th man.

Snarly what timezone do you live in? I feel like your sweet spot of posting occurs from like 2-6 AM eastern time zone.

Your location says Ohio, but I'm just wondering if you are indeed a fruit bat

I work second close to third shift lol so I am a night owl by nature.

The outcry when Cavs formed was quite big. If LeBron signed for less than max, players union would crucify him (Heat period and some calculations of how to add even more to the Heatles). Even our owner intervened.
Where do you find 4 superstars to play for a lot less than max?
This is ruining salary structure trough NBA and forces individuals to not maximize his earnings. Imagine yourself taking a lot less so another expert can be brought to your firm because the owner suggests it's better for him. Would you?
Another thing are personal endorsements. They can easily cover for the loss and they take away any pull original drafting should have.
My solution is shorten the contracts and create dynamic league. Force players to really decide what they want and give them a chance to react to formations like GS.

I kind of agree with this but the NBA is in such a mess right now that ESPN is trying to promote the shit out of it.. That should say something. I am really done with the NBA if not for Cavs how would you say. My love for the team and the good ol days with Price and Nance ect... However it is a joke today and really I hate it. It is like the NBA built a wall with refs as police and said beat this. Crooked to the bone when GS is awarded Durant and the Cavs had to change everything to get LeBron back.

I agree with this as well... A motivated Melo might just push this team past the Warriors and I know it sounds stupid right now but. Heck If Melo is the player we thought and wants to prove it with a ring... The Cavs welcome him. Sign Derrick Rose to the MLE and use young players to fill out the roster... Kay Felder are you ready?

If we do anything we have to do something that will last past LeBron prime. He will be very good till the end, but he won't be able to carry us anymore(in 2/3 years imo).
Get Westbrook. LoL

How about Kyrie, Westbrook, Wiggins, Love, and a zombie. Fantasy is fun to think and play with. Lets just work out magic and make sure the GS entitled assholes leave Cleveland with two losses before the future begins.

Hence the LoL. But if we pull something out of this, just adding something out of our own growth won't cut it. We will have to find something fantastic....

I really dont think we need another Star nessesarilly.. What we need no matter if we can pull this Series of or not... is 2 or 3 Elite 3 & D Players all 6'6 or taller and all under 35(meaning still 1-3 really good years left)

I have no idea how to get them though.. maybe some will come to us via Pay cut in FA because we are 1 of only 2 halfway realistic Teams to win a Title the next years.

Maybe we can trade Cedi and a Pick for 1 or 2

We need 2 or 3 Guys like Tucker, James Johnson, Tahbo, Simmons etc..

And we need to either get Tavares healthy and playing or renounce Bogut and hope he has another good year left.

2-3 Good Wing Defenders who can at least hit the Open Three and a Rim Protector and we are good.

Our Offense does not require another Star.. we need Defense.

Right after game 2, I was told by someone with a source within the Cavs organization that they expect George to Cleveland rumors to pick up right after the finals.

I'm not sure how Cavs could work that out with current roster construction, but standing pat is playing for second place.

My guess is TT and JR Smith would be involved....

Like it or not, I believe JR Smith with his current contract is virtually untradeable. He's the property of the Cavs unless he's packaged as filler to make the salaries match as part of a larger deal involving star players, and only if we're also giving up a star player.
