Well, the NBA would be a significantly better league right now if they blocked Durant from signing with the Warriors. No we can't do that because you can't add a superstar to our championship core cause that's unfair to everybody else....Instead let's position the league to remove a star player from the Warriors to make it fair for us .......
Okay well let's just break these teams up then... Cause the Cavs have really way more talent than they should have as well and are crazy tax payers....Well, the NBA would be a significantly better league right now if they blocked Durant from signing with the Warriors.
Now we are left with a prayer of a star forcing his way here without having to give one up in return just to have a chance and make the league somewhat watchable the next few years.
This is the fucked up situation Coward has created.
If the NBA is nearly as heavily involved behind the scenes as some here think, then they should guarantee ex-team of the said star the #1 pick in the 2018 draft for helping to save the league.
Game 2 of the Finals is today...
Cavs are playing... FWIW.
Snarly what timezone do you live in? I feel like your sweet spot of posting occurs from like 2-6 AM eastern time zone.
Your location says Ohio, but I'm just wondering if you are indeed a fruit bat
The outcry when Cavs formed was quite big. If LeBron signed for less than max, players union would crucify him (Heat period and some calculations of how to add even more to the Heatles). Even our owner intervened. No we can't do that because you can't add a superstar to our championship core cause that's unfair to everybody else....Instead let's position the league to remove a star player from the Warriors to make it fair for us .......

Where do you find 4 superstars to play for a lot less than max?
This is ruining salary structure trough NBA and forces individuals to not maximize his earnings. Imagine yourself taking a lot less so another expert can be brought to your firm because the owner suggests it's better for him. Would you?
Another thing are personal endorsements. They can easily cover for the loss and they take away any pull original drafting should have.
My solution is shorten the contracts and create dynamic league. Force players to really decide what they want and give them a chance to react to formations like GS.
Carmelo for Tristan is the only realistic thing I've seen.
Don't think that makes us good enough, but no doibt these first two games are closer with that swap.
If we do anything we have to do something that will last past LeBron prime. He will be very good till the end, but he won't be able to carry us anymore(in 2/3 years imo).
Get Westbrook. LoL
Like it or not, I believe JR Smith with his current contract is virtually untradeable. He's the property of the Cavs unless he's packaged as filler to make the salaries match as part of a larger deal involving star players, and only if we're also giving up a star player.Right after game 2, I was told by someone with a source within the Cavs organization that they expect George to Cleveland rumors to pick up right after the finals.
I'm not sure how Cavs could work that out with current roster construction, but standing pat is playing for second place.
My guess is TT and JR Smith would be involved....
