My take on the Pacer game last night is that they are indeed a deep and talented team, but they do have exploitable flaws. Two things about the Pacers are constants....Artest will be Artest and Oneal will be Oneal. The Pacers played an A game during the 1st half and for much of the fourth quarter with ONeal and Artest being consistently brilliant.

Where the Pacers are flawed is in the area of mental toughness and chemistry. It's being speculated by Pacer fans that Tinsley sat out of the game with a "sinus infection" because he was still pouting about being lifted in the fourth quarter of the previous game in favor of "rookie" Sauranus Jasekevicious. It's been said that a winning team adopts the character and attitude of it's star player. Reggie Miller had been that composed, fourth quarter star for the Pacers for many years. Without him, the Pacers wilted under pressure and missed critical free throws that Reggie would have stepped up and nailed.

Attacking the Pacers with a bevy of big, physical bodies will go a long way towards wearing down a finess big like Oneal. He will still do damage, but you cannot allow his efficiency to deter your effort in knocking him around. Big Magloire was able to block 5 shots (not all JO's) and grab 9 offensive rebounds....mostly due to ONeal succumbing to 4 frontcourt bodies.

A speedy point guard is almost certain to wreck havoc on the Pacers. They were shredded by TJ Ford and Mo Williams. This team has a very fragile psychi. The fans are even turning on the coach for not having better free throw shooters in the game.

It'll be interesting to see how Indiana recovers. They have to sit on this one until Wednesday. Can't say that I'm crying for them. I've found there fans to be the biggest bunch of crybabies on the net.

Artest is great though. Man he's tough on both ends. He's definitely a top 8 player in this league. I just think this team, with Artest, Tinsley, and no real leader is capable of imploding.

I've said here before, don't worry about the Pacers (at least we're not worried). Gooden and Ilgauskas can take it to the Pacers inside if they have the right mentality going in. This division is so tough it's unbelievable!

Inidiana with Foster healthy are a much better team!

They are an elite East team, but still beatable.

Nice Avatar Karma. I'm a nature enthusiast and Steve is the best in the business.

Indiana is an elite team and yes they could have used Foster last night. He's a solid rebounder but imo not a real difference maker. Pollard played fairly well in his absence. I can't overstate the mental aspect. The Pacers would have won the game had they not missed critical free throws when the heat was on. They basically took the game for granted (see Nets) while the opponent continued scrap and hustle.

The fans have turned on Anthony Johnson and Tinsley obviously isn't happy conceeding ANY of his playing time to Saraunus.

Due up for the Pacers are two games against the Hornets and a game against the Rockets before they matchup against the Cavaliers for the first time this season. Maybe they'll be over it by then and you guys can catch them cocky and overconfident again. I hope you blow them out. Their fans really disappointed me.....excuses, excuses, excuses. No credit even though they've been defeated by the Bucks 8 of the last 10 games at the BC.

Big win for the Bucks. Checking the box.....down 16 at the half, Ford solid, Maurice Williams great game, Redd's shot a little off. That would have been a great game to watch, even better to be there. I predict the Cavs will do the same to Indy in their gym very soon!

I hope you do beat the Pacers. Just be warned that they have a bag of excuses at the ready. They lost to the Bucks because Foster was out by their estimation. They also claim that the Bucks haven't beaten anyone good yet (Implying that they aren't good without Foster... :chuckles: ). I heard it all on their board. Very sore losers. Following their Foster logic, then I guess we can all conclude that the games that the Pacers did win were lucky because Jeff the great wasn't in the lineup.

Hey, even Lepip cut Foster from his fantasy basketball team. :chuckles:

It's not Foster (although he could helped keeping Magloire off the glass)... Tinsley would have helped though, especially with Ford's defense...

Even if Ford is quick enough to stay in front of him, Tinsley still gets 12-15...Anthony Johnson is junk...

I'll give the Bucks the win as the nba will..

The funniest thing about that game was watching Anthony Johnson's defense on the last play. He broke his own ankles with Mo Williams pulling up about 8 feet away from him. :chuckles:

Go here to check out the worst individual defensive stand in Pacer history. A play that for Anthony Johnson will go down in imfamy.

click on the Mo Williams/Bucks link.

Pacer fans were letting AJ have it. Calling him beetlejuice, toad face, pretty much everything in the book.

Oh I love this game!

:chuckles: That was not an inspiring effort..

It's accentuated after the regular time play when it shows Mo bringing the ball up in slow motion. You pretty much get a frame by frame look at Johnson as some invisible ghoul tries to kick one of his legs into the other. Imagine what he's going to have to go through in film session. That was embarrassing. You would think that a playoff hardened team would have sense enough to run up and take a foul. Why would you retreat to the line when a very good shooter, with momentum, can decide to pull up from half court if he wanted to.

What was he thinking? Answer: He wasn't thinking. :chuckles:

Really? I thought that the Pacers were UNBEATABLE!

Wow, thanks D3. Thank you. Now I can sleep better at night.

The only reason you made this thread was because you just wanted to talk about the Bucks.

....and the only reason you responded is because you're a hater. I talk NBA basketball from the perspective of a Bucks fan, which of course I am. Go to realcavtalk and NOT talk about the Cavs and then you won't be a hypocrite. Yeesh. Get out of my thread homer. And have a nice day. :)

It's okay Run... I would like to keep TJ here in this section, because he clearly knows ZERO about the CAVS and might be best not comment on them :chuckles: ...

I could barely read that Hughes Redd comparison on the other site...But I would not let that slide by me...

TJ, I think you tipped the bottle tonight...

Ok, lets see here. You pimp the Nuts night in and night out. They are a young team with a lot of energy. They are a poor man's Sonics team from last year. All offense but no D! We'll see how far they go, and how long they last.

I thought that would get your attention. :chuckles: The season has you a little uptight I think. I'm sooooooo glad that Marshall hit that shot or else you wouldn't know what to do. :chuckles:

I know you'll always be down for yours so I just threw a little rock at your window. That board over there is a little stagnant at times. A little player comparisons always gets the conversation kick started. TJ is sooooo Wise. :D
