Much you can do about that. They are fighting though, gotta give them that.

We’ve never had a legit center forward and rarely had a legit striker. Guys like Donovan and Dempsey could score despite lack of height but we don’t have that either.

Dutch are preventing attacks up the middle so we have to move on the flanks but with the tall Dutch defense and our short players it’s difficult to do much with crosses.

Yea. I mean those two goals the Dutch score? I don't think any US player scores both of those. Maybe one. But they'd have flubbed the other.

Teams are willing to let the US have a bunch of possession because there is no real danger. Nobody is winning in the air around goal. Nobody can stay composed and make precise touches in traffic. Netherlands can just sit back and wait for the the US to cough it up and then punish them.

Pulisic had to convert that in the first couple minutes. Goals are just so hard for this team to come by against quality competition.

Dest was at the Ajax youth academy at age 12. The USA is absolutely terrible at talent development.

Having said that 2-0 is a trap lead. If we can get one back we’ll have all the momentum. We can’t give up another goal.

He usually is.

He's not in form for this tournament. He's definitely still working his way back to full health. He hasn't played 90 yet.

I wouldn't have any problem subbing him out for LDLT

For comparison Memphis gets the ball in the same spot and forces a save. It's just a difference
