But do we have actualy WC qualifying matches? I thought we auto qualify as hosts.

We do not. Neither do Mexico and Canada. We'll have trouble scheduling quality matches on international dates when the rest of the world and Concacaf is qualifying.

There would probably be only 1/2 or 1 slot for Concacaf qualification outside of hosts except they are expanding the tournament.

Friendlies aren't the same as qualifiers so that will be a disadvantage for USMNT, El Tri and whatever the Canadians call themselves.

You’d have a hard time finding people in England who believe that. Those two teams did make the 2018 Final.

As an Italian I thank you, but typically when we talk about historical PK issues, Italia is #1

Italy beat France on PKs to win the World Cup in 2006. They didn’t channel Roberto Baggio in that match. Italy can’t come close to Holland who dominated Euro 2000 but then lost a match where they missed 5 of 6 PKs - two misses were prior to the end of extra time. That’s Chris Dudley bad.

Italy should not be mentioned at all during this World Cup. They lost to North Macedonia. Took over 2200 years but they finally got revenge for the Macedonian war.
