The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Thanks.
My computer is weird. My CPU load is just insane and the fans are working way too hard.
I'm still wary of downloading torrents. Even entering the sites warned me of some cryptominer lol.

Anyways, I bought XCOM 2.. never played XCOM 1, but I have to realize that I love turn based games.

Also, I currently enjoy playing Dying Light.

That's pretty suspect, what process is using all your CPU?
Right click empty area on Task Bar and select Task Manager.

Ensure you're on the Processes tab and click the CPU column to sort by it.

This will let you see what processes are consuming your CPU. Your fans are running because something is pegging your CPU thus creating a massive amount of heat that they're trying to cool. Left alone, it'll likely damage your system. Feel free to share what the process is and we can try and help.

If you ARE infected, I'd advise against trying to "fix" anything and recommend a wipe and restore to a clean status as that's the safest and most reliable method. I don't know what data you have on your PC and if losing it is a huge deal. I.e. if it's just a gaming rig, they're easy to re-install.

Thanks.
I already restored, formatted my pc. Still persists.
The task manager doesn't show anything. When I click it it shows like 70% use on idle and then it goes down fast to around 1-3 percent.
It's less likely a software issue if I did a clean install right?

Yes, however, I'm confused. You said your CPU load is insane but you're saying TaskManager shows you idle.
How are you determining your CPU load is crazy?

CDKeys.com is a good site for discounted games. Just make sure the keys work in your region. Never had an issue with a key not working on steam.

Ugh, if you do that, at least use a second Steam account. If/when you get caught using a pirated key, they will ban your account and you'll lose access to all the legit games you DID purchase through Steam.

Dying Light is awesome. Really fun when you level up enough for some of the special abilities like grappling hook. There are a few ways to cheese experience more quickly....

They aren't pirated keys, they are keys from other countries that are far cheaper than in the US that just happen to work in other regions of the world.

Also one of the cheapest ways to get XBox Gold subscriptions.

It became too easy for me so I'm kinda not into cheesing. My survivor rank levels up too fast and i'm missing out on weapons.

By idle i meant just browsing the internet or not doing anything. The CPU is at 70%. During gaming it's at 100%

I did a lot of head-stomping. The amount of loot you can get from getting on the roof of a car and stomping all the zombies trying to get you is pretty outrageous. Throw some firecrackers, attract a swarm, then get your boots dirty.

Some really great mechanics in that game. I really liked when you had to climb some towers, etc., and the wind started making them sway. Then you had to make a jump.... Got nervous as hell doing some of that stuff.

Really looking forward to Dying Light 2. I almost never buy games when they first come out, but I may make an exception.

Honestly, you don't know where the keys come from.

They're often times stolen. People steal CC info, buy these game keys, then flip them on the site. By the time the CC company charges back the purchase, the game studio/developer/publisher is the one who gets screwed.

There have been times when these stolen keys have been cracked down on.

But do you think steam actually bans the account if they find out? even if the said account bought hundreds of games?

Have you actually looked at cdkeys? Honestly, it seems like you are just lumping them in with sites like G2A.

With CDKeys you are buying from CDKeys, not from individual sellers, like you do with G2A CDKeys business model is to buy bulk keys in regions where the games sell for far less than other regions. Since the keys will work in other regions, many times they are global keys, they then sell to the regions they can sell them for a profit by selling them cheaper than MSRP.

I've been using them for maybe a decade. No issues.
