After my wife was not able to get me a PS5 for Christmas (she tried so damn hard and she’s the least likely human to sit and refresh a stock page lol), I copped one today during that short 30 min window on PlayStation direct!

So stoked for demon souls! Big bloodborne/dark souls fan who never owned a PS3 and never got to play the original. Excited my first experience with it will be in 4K HDR.

You won't be disappointed. Demon's Souls has been fantastic. I don't know if I can ever go back to playing another Soulsborne game after experiencing this game in 60 FPS.

Yeah I don’t typically get consoles near launch, but I saw some DS gameplay vids and knew I didn’t want to wait for this one. Atmosphere looks so damn good.

Any other PS5 games I should grab? Figured souls and 2k21 would get me through until there are more releases. Also, do you recommend a 2nd controller? Battery life on my ps4 controllers blow so 2 is a necessity.

I picked up an extra, but to be completely honest I haven’t used it at all.

Miles Morales is also a must. Just be forewarned that it’s far shorter than the first Spider-Man.

Ps5 arrives tomorrow! I forgot to ask you this: cinematic or performance mode? I was thinking going with cinematic to max out visuals since 30fps locked sounds fine to me for Souls game, but most online seem to be saying performance is the way to go. I’m not a FPS whore as long as it’s steady.

On another note, I’ve been playing a lot of Cold War since it came out, and 2 of my dual sense have broken triggers already. Disappointing to say the least. Waited on hold with Sony for over an hour just to be hung up yesterday.

Performance mode for sure. 60 FPS DS is a game changer.

Thanks guys! If it’s not a huge shift on visuals I’ll stick with the default performance mode.

Honestly the adaptive triggers have a pretty high failure rate at this point.

Well, 2 hours in and I don’t know if I can ever go back to sub 60 fps souls. Elevates the gameplay tremendously. As a souls veteran but never playing DeS, this game is kicking my ass harder than I anticipated and I love it so far.

Picked up Spider-Man: Miles Morales over the weekend. Man, New York looks pretty in this game in the snow. I also love the little details, like how snowflakes stick to Miles' suit for a second before disappearing/melting.

The game itself is more of the first one, which was awesome.
