I'm surprised Darkest Dungeon isn't free by now.

I'd say it's worth 9.99. Maybe pirate it, and if you like it, pay full price for it?

I sunk a ton of time into Slay the Spire--maxed out every class. I never got hooked by Darkest Dungeon.

I thought Loop Hero was a decent little game, but I also love tower defense games--goes back to my wc3 days.

Might have to check out Loop Hero while I’m at it! Been awhile since I played a tower defense game but I really used to enjoy them back in the day.

Loop Hero was a fun couple days or a week or so. Definitely didn't have the replay value of the others. Just don't want to get your hopes up. Pretty sure it was free

Is it worth it for me to spend $25 on Darkest Dungeon?

So back in October I got Persona 5 Royal for the Switch, my first Persona game, and boy, I've been playing games since the N64, and this game is easily one of my top 10 games of all time. I cannot put it down.

That one just ended up being so good, can they make a Persona 6 now?

Another JRPG that I like that came out near the same time as Persona 5 Royal is Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana (its on Sale on Steam for 18 and 25 for the Bundle, which includes the DLC until the 5th of Jan). It's starting to go up in price on other systems (200 bucks for the Vita version on Amazon for a new copy haha).

I do hope the major sales Persona 5 got on the Switch/XBOX/PC will make sure Atlus doesn't make Persona 6 exclusive to PlayStation.

I can agree with that one! They should eventually make a Persona 6, but I haven't figured out how to top 5 Royal personally and I am pretty good at writing stories/coming up with ideas

I own it and I played it some... It's one of those games, it's solid in all honesty, but it lacks some of the side character/friendships created like Persona 5 has. SMT 5 more focused on the combat side of things while doing a lot less of the character focuses... I enjoy games that mix the two better.

Saw that Guardians of the Galaxy was twenty bucks already on the Steam sale so I went ahead and picked it up based on what I'd read on here. I played the first two levels last night and it's fun. It reminds me a lot of Mass Effect gameplay mixed in with a Telltale Game (Rocket will remember that). The combat is a little ho-hum so far, but I don't have many upgrades yet either, so maybe it gets more fun later. Much of it seems to be just ordering your teammates to do cool shit while you fly around and watch.

The writing has been solid so far, as has the voice acting. Visually, the game is much better looking that I was expecting. I have everything cranked up to the highest settings and it's gorgeous. The story has been interesting as well. I'm on my way to sell Groot to a monster collector right now, and am looking forward to seeing how that plays out.

Hi guys... bought an Xbox Series X for the kids (and moreso me... they already have a switch).

Can someone give me some recommendations on games? I'm a big FPS, sports, GTA type game guy... maybe something for racing. Not a big role playing type (other than in the bedroom). ;-)

I’ve been off FPS for a minute. Have you played the new Wolfenstein games?

Been playing PGA tour '23 with my neighbor... def awesome. I think I might have Forza on my game pass subscription.

Forza Horizon is definitely on Game Pass. Check it out. Forza Motorsport comes out later this year as well.

By “new” I mostly meant the Wolfenstein New Order, New Colossus, and Old Blood. They’re technically last gen games just wasnt sure if youve tried them yet, as they are among the best recent FPS. They are on Game Pass also. In fact so is Doom Eternal.

Game Pass is just so good.

Maybe try Red Dead Redemption 2 since you like GTA V. I know how much you like cowboys too
