Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Son learned to point yesterday! He pointed several times to the main character in this awesome 1970s and 1980s story collection:

He's now met all the 18 month milestones (he turns 18 months on July 5). Started scribbling with chalk this month, too, although that's still not a preferred activity.

I see his pediatrician on July 18. Feeling pretty hopeful. He doesn't use many words yet, or two-word phrases, but he's a fantastic sleeper, curious about everything, and is great at throwing balls (because of course he is; mama was a baller in her day).

Day Care pics are the best when you do have to be away from them.

They send some every day, which is really nice. He clearly likes his teachers, so that makes us feel really good about how they're treating him.

I do gig legal work, so when I'm not in trial, I generally have him on Mondays and Wednesdays so I see him a lot. And they live about 1/4 mile away, so....

Still waiting for my 15 month old to walk. Does literally everything else - gestures, pulls herself up, walks with a walker, cruises around the furniture and even climbs onto the couch with no assistance. Just doesn’t seem to have balance to stand on her own and walk.

pediatrician said give it 6 weeks then let them know. *shrug*

My daughter just finished 5th grade at 11 years old. She had first-day/last-day pics and it's a huge difference. I'm not going to put the pictures up because perverts, but the difference is crazy. It looks like her face is so much thinner and legs look 6 inches longer. It feels like every age has its jumps, but this one was super noticeable.

She'll be fine. My son didn't walk until older than that, then he just started and never stopped.

Lil dude had his 18 month appt on July 18. All went well! Pediatrician had no concerns. His next goal is to start saying 2 word phrases, which he doesn't do yet. He says about 10-12 words, mostly interjections and descriptive words rather than the usual nouns. Favorites are "cute," "good," and "nomnomnom." I think those are fitting for a boy who now loves to feed his stuffed animals!

Welp, glad I waited until we saw the allergist to start introducing new foods.

Definitely allergic to milk, but testing also revealed egg and peanut allergies.

There is room for optimism that she will outgrow the milk and egg allergies, but the peanut allergy may be here to stay.

Toddlers are the best!

You know those prickly fruit gumballs from trees that destroy lawn mowers and trip people?

And those crunchy dead leaves littering the yard?

In a toddler's mind, these are not annoyances, but great treasures to be brought indoors and displayed proudly on the carpet!

My little girl was born 10 weeks early (born in June 2022, but due August) and was in the two different NICUs and a cardiac unit for 53 days before she came home. She's adjusted to an 8 month old now and just seeing all these pictures and stories has made me smile. We're worried about her mobility (long story), but seeing that you guys all have different ages when your kids crawled, stood and walked has been encouraging. Hoping she joins this bunch and is walking around and cheering on the Cavs with me.
Great to read that your child is doing ok.

Don't fret about crawling at all.. My niece NEVER crawled. She butt scooted across the floor. I told other family members the kid was smart.. Figured out a way for her ass to get scratched without doing herself or having one of us do it..

Then 1 day she stood up & started staggering around/ walking.

She started her senior yr of high school this past Monday (lives in that state up north) & has already signed a letter of intent to play softball in college next season.
