Tyronn Lue has been fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
nah...they were just afraid of a wasted year with no development of young players *and* no playoffs.

after the report on Korver & JR Smith being told they are out of rotation. What you said is correct.
I guess Lue refused to play young guys, and have locker room problems with guys he fought with in playoffs tough battles.I respect he stood by his guys, and it cost him the job.I hope he gets a nice chance somewhere else.

I dont see how Gilbert is at the root of all evil here. If Lue was to be fired before camp, I see that as on the GM, not the owner.

I think Lue promised, then did not deliver a competitive team. The management was skeptical and when the data showed up they said enough. But Ben and the insiders know better and I will wait to see what that story is.. Would be pretty disappointing if Lue was insubordinate with the player minutes.

This would be true... except Altman doesn't have any actual power in this situation.

Numerous people with sauces have said he's nothing more than Dan Gilbert's puppet.

If Lue felt his personal loyalty to players was more important than the team as a whole, he should have been fired a long time ago.

God can you imagine the lineup of Sexton - Hood or Nwaba - Cedi - Nance - Zizic while Love is out? When are we going to win a damn game?! It'll be so strange seeing lineups with NO three point shooters on the floor in today's game. I forsee lots of 116-92 games in the near future.

I'm not with firing a coach midseason. At all. Does nothing. Lue or Hue could've just fired them both after the season.

I see we have a lot of Gilbert lovers in here

Hopefully cavs are gifted another LBJ soon

.. We're 5 games in to an 82 game long season. That's 6 months. This is sunk cost fallacy and the cost is 5 games.

It's also an entire year of young guys developing that wouldn't have happened with lue coaching.

To be fair, Hue got fired midseason, Lue got fired 7.3% of the way into the season, hardly midseason.

That said, both deserved to be fired, Hue more than Lue though.

Gilbert gotta sell the team.

Lue should have been fired TWO summers ago. To fire after 6 games....why in the world didnt you just fire him this summer? Did Dan honestly not think it possible we start off poorly?

Again, I look to Milwaukee, where Budenholzer has them shooting 40 3s a game and theyre 7-0 and think that could have been us. He could have been our hire.
