Week #8 - Bring on the Stillers!!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
WRs aside, I think this game was lost for us when it was 4th and inches at the 50, and we decide not to go for it. That sealed our fate.
Yeah that was a huge moment in the game. Steelers went right down the field and took the lead after that, too.

Just an absolutely brutal decision.

The fact that Ben Roethlisberger is a Hall of Fame QB and not the nighttime manager of the Findlay Home Depot with a “Let’s Go Brandon” bumper sticker on a late model F150 is all the proof I need that there is no god.

A lot of things went wrong but Landry single-handedly lost us this game. Atrocious. Also KS has been consistently bad to mediocre this year...Idk what happened but they have to turn this around - even if it's just to avoid a total shit show in the offseason.

Nah. But he had some momentum killing plays in the first half, including some really poor throws when we needed just 1 yard in 3 tries.
Mayfield clearly did enough to win this game, if he gets at least average plays out of his receivers today. I would hope everyone, even the Mayfield haters, can agree on this point.

Don't know how anyone who watched the game can blame this on Baker. He had his receivers dropping passes left and right.

The hooper drop which could have been a TD.

The Higgins drop for a first down.

The sould crushing fumble by Landry.

The two Landry drops in critical situations both for first downs.

Yes, that was KS shitting the bed when it mattered a lot.

I want receivers who don't reach with the ball

I’m not gonna blame Odell for not making that catch, but all I’m gonna say is that every time I watch redzone I seem to consistently see receivers make plays of that nature or even more difficult.

our receivers, whoever it is, never seem to make the type of play I see receivers of all the other teams make.

So to all of the “Stefanski has been bad” people, how so?

What are you referring to that points to Stefanski being a bad coach?
For me its the not going for it on 4 and 1, but thats only because we're relying on Woods to get the defense of the field.
I'd still take SK over any coach we had over the last 10 yrs

When's the last time a Browns player made catch of the quality that Freiermuth made today?

That throw by Roethlisberger wasn't good. It wasn't even average. It was just in the general vicinity of both players are Freiermuth made a monster play.

For one thing, being the most penalized team in the league usually reflects on the head coach, correct?

Not going for it on 4th down at midfield, what message does that send? Maybe it says he trusts the defense? So what basis in fact and performance does he have that justifies him trusting the Joe Woods defense to ever get off the field? To top it off the Steelers didn't have a kicker?

IMO the play calling by KS was beyond bland and predictable. He failed to mix up the running plays with play action, ran too many empty backfield sets. when he should have been trying to stick to play action/running play variety, and keep them guessing just on those sets.

At some point KS becomes accountable for Joe Woods and the performance of this defense, with their repeated failure to get off the field on 3rd and long.

That's just off the top of my head.

Having said all that I still like KS. But he needs to seriously rethink a few things. I think he needs to give up the play calling duties. After the season he seriously needs to consider going in a different direction with the defensive coordinator (or would that be Berry?).
