Welcome Raul Neto

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
How do you know they didnt try to sign Dragic and he had no interest in coming here? Also he's on a steep decline.
I don’t know! I was only asking because I saw the Bulls just signed him and if we were looking for PG help Dragic is a proven winner.

Neto is a 3nD point guard. He had a bad shooting year last year but multiple seasons of 36% or better. Very steady with 3:1 ATR. Hes really stable for a backup PG but I wouldnt expect anything incredible from him
Okay! Thanks….because I only thought Dragic might have been the better choice with his proven background.

I'll be honest. Before he signed with the Cavs, I didn't know much about Raul Neto.

After watching a few games, I can say I'm very impressed. Last night, one of the biggest crowd reactions was because of how he dogged Cole Anthony all over the court. (If anybody can find video of that please post.)
That fired up the team, and the crowd.
I don't know how many minutes he gets after Rubio gets healthy, but it's always good to have somebody like that on the roster.

Yeah Neto is honestly reminds me of a Rubio without the high-level playmaking. He moves really well on defense and is always looking to snake his way to the basket. He’s been a great full-in for the backup PG spot.

His defense isn't going to work on like the Raptors, but he is very good staying in front and hounding the ball. Very annoying. Drawing those 2 offensive fouls got them all out of sorts.

Neto is a high level 3rd PG or low level back up PG. He is what we needed with Rubio being hurt to start the year and i am very glad we got him because of Garland's freak inury.

But he had zero assists, is very limited on who he can guard because of size, but he gives 100% effort on D and he can hit an open jumper, not much more you can ask for from a 3rd PG, 4th if you consider Mitchell, which i dont.

Honestly Neto's best attribute is that he isnt Nembhard or Pangos, this is part of the reason he looks so good to us. :chuckle:

Important to note he was the 2nd ballhandler out there and Caris was the primary. Even Cedi prob brought it up more than Neto did during his stints

I mean, I can admit he's much better looking than Nembhard or Pangos, so definitely a plus.

I’ve been saying Neto should have been playing 5-10 minutes a game. Brings a PG presence, plays pesky defense, can change the momentum in games. Am not asking for heavy minutes but he can make a 3, and plays with heart.

He sucks.

He sucks.
No he does not. He was +7 in 14 minutes tonight. He had some key stretches where he nailed a 3, gave 3 dimes, caused a travel in full court pressure. He should have been playing 5-10 minutes each night before Rubio coming back. That bench spark would have helped some wins this season and playing as PG would have brought Rubio does. Not saying he’s Rubio but he would have brought that PG bench.

Neto certainly has a purpose right now. It's not to be a second string point guard. He's more of a "in-case-of-emergency, break-glass" type of player, because he can't give us as much as a normal backup pg. But losing Garland for the next couple of games shouldn't hurt us too badly, because the REAL backup point guard may finally return.

If Rubio even gives us 10% of what he did before his injury, the difference between him and Neto will be staggering. Hope the injuries won't plague us too badly *knocks-on-woods*
