Welcome Taurean Prince

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I just don't think Wade will ever be a major contributor in the NBA, but more power to him if I am wrong.

We just proved we value him more than we value Thon, so that is something, lol
That’s fine, but after coaching him for 6 years I think all he needs is the chance.

I could be wrong, he will get that chance, he should hang around the NBA for 5 or 6 years, collect some nice paychecks, play his ass off, but something like only 5k players have ever played in the NBA, will Wade be a top 200 player in the NBA and make a rotation? I don't think so, but lord knows I have been wrong before. I famously told Drew Brees (who I knew well) that he wouldn't be but a journeyman QB in the NFL.

What the fuck do I know? lol

But Prince and Wade play the exact same role, same size, ect, but Prince is much more athletic and seasoned and it will cut into opportunities with Wade if he remains on the cavs, then if we get healthy, no way Wade sees any time.

Don't sleep on versatile forward Taurean Prince, who is also headed to Cleveland.

Offensively, he tends to be a streaky chucker. He is a very long and agile athlete who basically played as a "poor man's Kevin Durant" last season as KG recovered from his achilles surgery.

He really makes his money with his high energy, switching defense.

After his parents divorced, Prince moved with his father, Anthony Prince, to San Angelo. Anthony said they lived in his mother’s house until she died.

Unable to keep up payments for the house, Anthony said they were homeless for about a month until he could save for a house.

“We lived at the Salvation Army,” Taurean said. “I was there with my father trying to make things work. We were trying to find different situations to better the one we were in. It made me and my father have a strong connection.”

Without a car, Anthony Prince walked Taurean two miles to a bus stop every morning so he could go to school. Through it all, he managed to stay positive and lift his father’s spirits.

“One day we were walking from the Salvation Army to the bus stop and I was depressed and embarrassed,” Anthony said. “I asked him how he can be so upbeat with what we’re going through.

“He said, ‘If I try my hardest, it’s the best I can do.’ He was always striving to be better. I said, ‘If you keep working, someday things are going to work out.’ ”

What a nice story.

Really good fit with our roster like you guys are all saying. Taller than Okoro/KPj but more mobile than Nance and overall stronger than Cedi.

We needed a guy like that. If he doesnt stick hes someone contenders always always covet or he opens up the door to trade other guys on the roster.

Personally I think he sticks and will further improve our D and toughness.

prince is a forward combo while wade is a stretch big. prince ain't stealing minutes from wade.

but think about this... a guy who can sub for nance, who gives the same effort and switchability... and then imagine a line-up of sexton, okoro, prince, nance and allen... that's one line-up teams will struggle mightily to score on, and will have bruises just playing against physical players

Similar length to Wade, much better defender, plays the 3 and 4 while Wade only plays the 4 I believe, not really a center. How doesn't he take minutes from Wade?

not very high on him but his 3% is higher than I thought it would be

i see you are only concerned about wade's playing time, not the whole team's success.

I am glad we have Prince to take some of the load off Nance, so he doesn't have to play so many heavy minutes.

We needed another guy who can take a crack at bigger forwards. I love Okoro, but he is not ready for those guys yet. He is a little smaller than I thought.

Team is suddenly rife wit wings who have different skill sets. Lot's of interesting lineups to be had once they are all healthy.

Prince fits in to what this teams needs. A SF that can split minutes or move up to PF when needed. It isn't sustainable for Nance to play this heavy of minutes.

Wade will get minutes because Love can't stay healthy. If Love gets healthy and we move on from Drummond and McGee, my guess is Nance and Love will take up the excess minutes at center.

Better defender?? Go back and watch video for who is always in the right spot defensively, actually is willing to communicate and defend the pick and pop or pick and roll, stays in front of his man, and actually blocks out. Okoro and Nance are the other two on our roster. Prince might be good too, but that remains to be seen imo.

Fun at parties meter: 10/10, lol

Drew did not party at all, i was friends with a teammate of his that loved to party, thus why i knew him. I actually knew Drew's wife too as they dated in college, i bartended and he used to come into my bar to watch sports, eat and drink tea, lol

I like Prince. However, how are we going to get minutes for all of our similar players? Garland is our only playable pg. Sexton is a 2 guard at this point as is Dotson. Okoro, Windler, Cedi, Prince, KPJ, are all natural 3’s and Nance has been playing it some and may still if Love returns. If they all become playable, who sits?

Don't worry half of them will be injured at any given time. This season is a war of attrition with the packed schedule
